I had lower jaw surgery and genioplasty this year and I had to express my gratitude. I have had alot of bad experiences with surgeons as I've had some botched surgery in the past so going into jaw surgery you could imagine how scared I was especially knowing how big this surgery would be for me. I am happy I was able to find wittenburg. My dentist actually referred me to someone local in my city but I refused and wanted to go to the best of the best. I remember the first time I talked to him I could tell immeditely how knowledgable he was. I have a deep appreciation for those who are so incredibly smart. I felt like he was a professor when he spoke. I also did not go into the surgery blindly I did alot of research and was prepared for the worst pain In my life but after my surgery was done I could not believe how I literally felt not a single moment of pain the following days. The moment I woke up my throat was sore due to the breathing tube they had to use but other than that no pain. Even the following days no pain I was so prepared to feel horrible but it was so easy. Out of all my surgeries I've done this was so peaceful. Swelling was crazy my mom loved how chubby my face looked haha. But don't worry you look like a potato for a little bit but by one month you look completely normal. I also never lost any weight during my recovery I made sure to eat alot of calories and keep my body healthy to aid in healing. I am immensely grateful for Dr wittenburg and can't thank him enough.
Also I have to mention how wittenburg was extremely kind towards me. Through the whole experience and after he cared (something I never felt with any other surgeon) he really is so knowledgeable I can't emphasize this enough.

Dr Wittenberg was very knowledgeable and kind, however one of the receptions (white) was rude and difficult to speak to, would recommend them hiring more competent staff. The other receptionist however was lovely.

I am writing this review for Dr. Wittenberg and his staff to to express what an amazing experience I had with them. I recently went to Dr. W for some cosmetic work. Of course feeling a bit anxious and not knowing what to expect, I was very cautious. As Dr. W and Sara (who is amazing) walked me through the process and what I can expect, I began to feel more comfortable and gained the confidence to move forward with the procedure. They provided me with pre-op instructions, were attentive to my questions and were always available to answer questions. On the day of the surgery, they made me feel very comfortable and the procedure was done before I knew it. Finally, post-op they regularly followed up, were available at all times to answer questions or help with any concerns.
I cannot say enough about Dr. W and his team. They were caring, professional, always attentive and friendly. As any consumer should, I visited with several cosmetic surgeons before settling on Dr. W. He was extremely professional, friendly and it felt like he was personally vested in my happiness. I wasn't just another invoice. Same goes for his staff.

I would highly recommend Dr. W to everyone; and in fact a few friends and family have already visited his office and expressed the same sentiments. I now know who my go-to cosmetic surgeon is. Thanks Dr. W and your amazing team.

Dr Wittenberg is a great person and surgeon. I traveled to see him for my weak jawline and saggy neck. I had been told by other doctors to have a facelift but Dr Wittenberg explained how my face structure could allow me to have a necklift only to get back my jawline. I did not want a facelift and he was the first honest doctor to suggest a way to do what I needed rather than overdo surgery. Well, the staff was so great and the surgery was truly life changing for me. Right after surgery I saw the result and I almost cried it was so good. I look so natural but overall the jawline made a hugh difference. It made the lower part of my face so clean and shaped and instead of being heavy down there I was trim and so defined like I wanted. He is a magician. Great bedside manner makes you feel great too

So I was always self conscious about my small jaw. I had braces which didn't fix anything that I wanted and I asked about how to fix it and they told me to get a chin surgery. I looked into it and either the chin implant was too big or shifted or looked silly. Seeing Kylie Jenner's jawline made me really envious and I kept looking for someone to help me. When I found Dr Wittenberg I was blown away. He had so many amazing results that I realized that I wasn't alone in what I wanted. I talked to his office on the phone and they were really helpful since I was out of town and wanted some information before I went to see Dr Wittenberg. I did fly to see him and was really happy with the consultation. He went over my face structure and explained to me about my jawline and what choices I had to make it look like I wanted. I brought pictures to show him too. He really emphasized that it had to be a natural look and not too much and that it wasn't just the chin but the whole lower jawline from the ear to the chin point. He showed me that the look from the front is actually more important than my profile since I look in the mirror every day. So smart an idea. I remember going home and being so excited and kinda freaked out that I could get what I really wanted after all the worry. I had more conversations with the office and booked the surgery when I had some time off. The surgery was less than I thought for time off. They warn you not to worry about the look for at least a month even though it was ok. They had told me that the final look was around 6 months and not to worry since the healing and definition takes time. They were right and right! I cannot tell you how much happiness it made me and how amazing I feel everytime I look in the mirror. My family said I really became more confident and smiled more. I now know how people feel who have a great face and now I tell everyone to get whatever they don't like fixed if it really bothers them. It took me some time to write a review but I remembered how I looked at reviews and wanted to tell about Dr Wittenberg. I call him the jawline doc.

Great experience great surgeon! I had a small chin and bad bite for my whole life and really became self conscious about it. I had orthodontics as a kid but the bite never was fixed. I researched out Dr Wittenberg and he gave me so much information about my growth that I was amazed no one had ever explained it before. He really is smart. He said I could do orthodontics and jaw and chin surgery if I wanted the best result but also said he could just make it look good with a chin surgery and jawline surgery if I wanted to avoid braces. Well, I waited this long so I did the full plan and I now have a great smile and a great profile. Two for one!
The staff was great support and Dr Wittenberg was so easy to talk to. I saw patients in his office from other countries who came to see him so he certainly must be as good as I thought.

I went to this doctor because he is a dental surgeon. I wanted a fairly simple fix related to a dental procedure which all maxiofacial surgeons perform. They put me in a chair and him and his assistant start anaylizing me like an art piece. Not once did he talk about the procedure that I came in for and wasted $200 on his consultation fee. He starts talking about gortex and different implants he's going to put in my face. They then take me to another room, and another person comes in with a fancy little package with a quote of $25,000. I told her first of all I don't want foreign material put in my face, I don't want any of this stuff done just the procedure that I want and paid $200 to talk about it. She then advised me that the docter felt this was best suited for my face. I felt cheated of the fee they charged me and a little insulted. I then received multiple phone calls over the next many months asking me when I would like to schedule a surgery. I have to say what a strange place. A simple dental related inquiry, I leave with a huge cosmetic surgical quote, very pushy staff as well.

Dr. Gerald Wittenberg, Retired's response
We do appreciate feedback although anonymous comments are difficult to assess. Obviously we may disagree with someone's memory and misunderstandings. We always ask the patients' reason for the consult and what they hope to achieve. We do the assessment and provide options so they can be educated as to their facial growth pattern and structure which affects any treatment plan. Some things are feasible but others may not be. But we feel that an educated patient can then assess their situation and goals and make an informed decision. We are certainly available for any clarifications as well for the 100 dollar (not 200 dollar) consult fee for these type of assessments
