Dr, Adkins is helpful, courteous, friendly and answers all questions you might have to the best of her ability. She is thorough and very knowledgeable.

Very disappointed in this doctor and the entire practice. My mother was in intensive care but Dr. Adkins never once came in. There are 4 doctors that rotate once a month. So if your doctor isn't on hospital rotation then you see on of the other 3. I called her and she knew nothing about my mother's situation. We eventually swithed doctors and were given an excellent recommendation by the hospital administration and several nurses.

Dr. Adkins is a very kindhearted doctor and easy to talk to. On the other hand, if you are sick she is almost impossible to get into and follow up visits are even hard to get on time. She may want a follow up visit in two weeks but has no openings for 2 months. I have found calling and leaving a message for her or her nurse equally fustrating. If you ask more than one question, not all the questions will be answered. I'll ask a question, her nurse will answer and if I have a follow up question then the nurse has to ask Dr. Adkins and "get back with me" Anytime you leave a message you are made to feeling like you are irratating the staff. Its such a shame because it takes away from Dr. Adkins. I'm surprised to see that she is still accepting new patients knowing how difficult scheduling can be to get in. I wouldn't recommend her only becuase its so hard to get an appointment!

Best general doctor in Parkersburg. Takes her time with patients and makes sure you understand everything.

She has a bad attitude against obese people and is not the type of DR I would recomend

I was very pleased with her knowledge about lung cancer. I am a cancer survivor. she answered all of my questions and did not rush in and out like some Dr. do. She took her time with me, and i like. Dr Adkins also has a very helpful and polite staff. I had so much confidence in her that i now have three of my immediate family members see her.

I have never had to wait.she spends a lot of time with you,you can tell she's not in a hurry.
