Dr. Salter is very knowledgeable and is one of the most caring doctors I have ever come by. Her staff goes above and beyond. Not to mention, she is the most and considerate lady I know. GO SEE DR. SALTER!

After receiving 28 radiation treatments (3 which were aggressive), by Dr. Salter, I was left with radiation damage to my colon. When I last saw Dr. Salter in 1/15, I provide a copy of the report from my gastro to Dr. Salter's nurse. I told the nurse that I wanted to be released frim Dr. Salter's care. I was made to wait 3 hrs before seeing Dr. Salter. My husband was with me in the waiting room. When Dr. Salter finally came into the exam room, she was so mad. She said the radiation that I received did not damage my colon. She told me that I was high strung, negative, and that it was all in my head. Really!!! I was and continue to bleed from my rectal area. I have an appt at UAB in 3/15, with the possibility of colon surgery with a colostomy bag. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Susan Salter to anyone! I would not give her a one star!

Dr Salter and her staff are wonderful. I highly recommend her and her staff. From our first visit they made us feel like family and at that time in our lives we needed that extra and special care. Dr Salter is straightforward and provides helpful guidance through the treatment process. Words can not express my gratitude to Dr Salter and her staff.

After making her wait repeatedly and at length, Dr. Salter greeted my 71 year old mother facing sinus radiation in BICYCLE SHORTS and no doctor's coat. She told her there was a 60% chance of losing her eye even though she had yet to consult with the surgeon about exactly where the radiation was needed (her new wonderful doctor has told her it is a 1% chance). My Mom went in to the appt. resolved to undergo radiation and possibly chemo if it was absolutely necessary (which is huge for my Mom's personality) and left that appt. refusing to have ANY treatment whatsoever. Thankfully she has since come to her senses, but only after she understood she would never have to see Dr. Salter again.
