I cant agree more to the first patient who complained. I was there for hypertension and for 3 years and Dr. Thomas Kingsley and my hypertension was not getting in control. I asked for guidance on better diet and excercise plan. Instead, i was handed over a 2 page paper everytime. I eat healthy food, work out regularly and right on BMI. I wanted to know how I can keep medcine away, unfortunately no help so far. Finally changing the doctor.

I completely beg to differ from the first reviewer. Dr. Tom Kingsley (TK) is very knowledgeable and TOTALLY patient focussed. He may be conservative -- but only for a patient's well being. When a patient is irresponsible about his/her health, the doctor has to take charge of his health. And he is a really good listener. I also have hypertension/BP. TK's approach is to control it by lifestyle changes and use medication only as a last resort. I applaud that. What would TK gain by not adding another medication if that is what the patient prefers?! On the contrary, TK may lose a patient! I have been TK's patient for over 8 years now and have been extremely satisfied with his services, knowledge, car, and treatment. His nurse Susan is the same. They make an awesome team. I have referred many friends to him with confidence. I would go to him even if he moves to a different location. He may not "chat" with patients but certainly cares for them and is a thorough professional.

I used Kingsley for a few months to manage my hypertension. I was having trouble managing it and was in some discomfort. Kingsley was very dismissive of my complaints, was a poor listener and did not want to add a second anti-hypertension medication to my regimen. Adding a second blood pressure medication is "standard" for controlling hypertension. I was irritated by Kingsley's apathetic and passive approach to medicine and ended up asking him point blank, "you seem very conservative when it comes to prescribing mediciations." He shot back at me that he admitted this, he stated "the less the better." He's one of these doctors who is extremely conservative regarding prescribing medications and tests, he isnt a good doctor for anyone with serious or chronic medical conditions. He also had a military officer type doctor personality that was totally inappropriate for civilian family practice. Poor listener, doesnt take concrete actions to tackle medical problems, lazy and arrogant acting.
