Several years ago I rated Dr. Anquist on his treatment of my child with Lyme Disease. Though they did have Lyme, Dr. Anquist missed something MUCH worse. I don't know if it was because he was rushed from being 45 minutes late, or too arrogant to consider that a Mother's concerns are valid (sorry, but a Mother DOES know her child best) and didn't pursue any testing. This led to my child going several years undiagnosed with TYPE ONE Diabetes. They weren't just fat and I wasn't just uneducated on nutrition and no, they didn't have any major signs. However, a simple, routine blood test would have been enough! It wasn't until they got COVID (an RCH Intensivist said COVID tends to unmask hidden Diabetics), went into ketoacidosis, and spent 5 weeks in ICU fighting for their life. The testing done in the ICU showed they had TYPE ONE Diabetes for YEARS. I truly wish this story had a happy ending but it doesn't. At least my child isn't suffering anymore. ... PARENTS: YOU know your child best. Don't be intimidated into not standing up for them.

Dr. Anquis and his staff go above and beyond! I have three children on the autism spectrum, and I have never felt like I was in better hands since starting to see Dr. Anquist.

Having read the reviews , I need to clarify that a lot of people have him wrong! We have had two children with mental health issues treated by Dr Anquist. As a parent I’m forever grateful for his knowledge and experience. When dealing with mental health in children it’s terribly hard and stressful as a parent. His words “let me be the bad guy for them to be angry at” released me of responsibility to “do everything “ for my child. Both my kids have grown into incredible adults now and I know for a fact that we wouldn’t be where we are without dr Anquist doing the “fighting for “ our kids rights to care
Bedside manner may not be his best suit but his experience and knowledge override everything else

Went with concerns over ADD . He didn’t even do the consult himself but had a resident Dr. do it. She started out by asking why we were there. Red Flag. She asked about a report. I said there were forms from the GP included. She asked us some questions but nothing too in-depth. She went into discuss her findings with dr a quest and he comes out with a diagnosis of being on the spectrum of ADD. Offers only a prescription and suggests no reading material or alternative treatment. I was not impressed and will go elsewhere for proper diagnosis and treatment that doesn’t push prescriptions .

Daughter has Autism. He asked me why I wanted her to be sick when she was 5. I didn't want her to be sick. She is now 15 and recently diagnosed properly. I just wanted a referral to Sunnyhill, but him and another backwards Dr here in Abby wouldn't do it. Listen to your gut! Stay away.

Brought my son in for concerns of ADD. Gave good advice, but did not push medications. We went home and did the recommended reading and decided to go with medication. We trialed several different kinds until we found one that works. My son is doing so much better.
