I saw Dr. Ward for the first time in September. During that visit, we discussed certain medications I was being prescribed by other providers, and him taking over writing those prescriptions in the future. On Monday, I called for a refill on one of those medications. He staff took a message, and we ended the call with me believing my refill would be transmitted to the pharmacy. After two days of my pharmacy not receiving the the refill authorization, I contacted Dr. Ward's office. At this point I was informed that Dr. Ward refused to fill the medication, and instructed his staff I would have to come in. This is not what was discussed in September. During that visit, he instructed me to contact the office when I needed a refill. A visit for this refill is not something that is required by any Regulation issued by any Board overseeing medical and/or pharmaceutical activities. I was appalled! In the middle of a national medical crisis, and every person from the President of the United States and medical specialists around the world instructing people to stay home and practice safe distancing, this doctor wanted to potentially expose me to COVID-19 by demanding an office visit when one was not required. When a doctor's wallet is more important to him than his patient's well being, it is time to seek better care. I will never return to Dr. Ward's office and have already relayed his actions to all my family, friends and co-workers. If you want a doctor whose top concern is your overall well being, this is not the one!

Best listener, always willing to hear you out. If you follow his advice you can reduce/eliminate some meds. Never felt I was rushed during my appointment. Always wants to know what is going on in my life both positive and negative. Nursing staff is wonderful, kind, pleasant and caring. Office staff is a little on the lost side. Overall, great doctor.

Dr. Ward takes as much time as you need, he never rushes you. Wait time can vary. If someone has to wait it is because He gives each patient ample time. He is one of the best doctors I have ever had. He prescribes based on your individual needs and he treats you like a person, not just another patient. He does his best to try to get you well. I think he is very knowledgeable and helpful. He is one of the few doctors who actually listen to you. His tech who takes blood is one of the best I have seen. Most of his staff are nice, but could be more pleasant and a more smiles would be nice. Plus they are not as good as they used to be about returning calls...but they do try to help you get in on short notice if you are really sick.

he is a smart doctor, but likes to stack his patients, and you will be waiting for awhile to see him, there is no doctor worth a 2 hr wait. they wouldn't wait on you for 2 hrs, So why should you wait on them for 2 hrs. No good bedside manners.

I don't understand this "pill pusher" comment. Dr. Ward makes a concerted effort to avoid prescription treatments, when vitamin, mineral or herbal remedies exist. But he does not force anything on his patients. I always ask him why he prescribes, and he always gives me a solid rationale and explains my non-med options, e.g., take this ACE inhibitor or lose 20 pounds. (I lost the 20 lbs.) Don't expect much from the office staff here. They seem to be terminally confused. But Dr. Ward and his nurses are always willing to take time with their patients, both to listen and to answer questions. A doctor with good hearing is a precious find!!!

This man kept me waiting for over 4 hours, then rushed through the visit. His staff is very rude, and are not helpful to the patients. I will not go back to see him, and have reported him to my insurance company.

Any doctor that puts you on medications and then tells you he does not want to be your doctor anymore; won't give you a reason why; will not get another doctor to take over; will not talk to you on phone- never-; just leaves you hanging while on medications that if stopped abruptly, will make you have another seizure; migraine headaches; chronic pain, etc. This is not right. I wouldn't recommend that anyone see this doctor.
