Dr. Byrd is widely knowledgeable about diseases, chronic conditions and he keeps up very well with current literature. As to his looking up doctors in books, he does that for me to find one he knows in my area (the NW side of town). I have never found him to be lacking referrals to first-class physicians. He is also very compassionate and personable, and he treats me with great care when examining me or performing minor procedures. I heartily recommend Dr. Byrd. (By the way, the word is 'prostate', not 'prostrate'. And AARP has no insurance. It only sells it for various companies. AARP is a political organization.)
