Dr. Esmond is incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated to her patients well-being. I would not be alive today had she not fought so hard for me. I am so grateful for having been in her care. She continuously stays abreast of new medications and treatments.

Very caring doctor. Very knowledgeable and is up to date on new medications and off label medication uses. She really invests her time and researches new methods or medications to help her clients. Goes above and beyond to care for her patients. She saved my life.

Had this doctor ten years ago through the childrens aid society and this doctor actually misdiagnosed me and based her opinions on previous psychiatrists assessments. She never set me up with a Adult psychiatrist and just let me fall through the cracks. Guess im not even surprised at that. Since this doctor in 2009-2010 I have never had any ongoing psychiatric care except for in crisis.
So if you’re child is close to 18 I urge you to start transitioning from Dr Esmond to a Adult Psychiatrist. If she doesn’t want to refer you speak with your doctor or CHEO.

She was absolutely helpfull in everyway and i could reach her always. She followed my two children and ì in everyway possible. I think she is a
more than excelent doctor.

Mediocre at best. Very quick to share her own life, regardless of relevance. Fails to offer useful advice or insight; basically just waits for patients to figure things out on thier own.

So many lies and judgements hear its pathetic . Take it from a some one who actually took the time to get to know. Her . She has helped in more ways then can say . You all expect a robot . You all forget she's a human . I would not trade her for anything. I was a shrub when she meet me and I'm slowly become a strong tree .

Horrible experience. I brought my 17 yo suicidal son to her begging for help . My first interaction with her involved her laughing at a text message she had received from a mom in distress while waiting in her wait room. . Shortly after that my son was in crisis. She did not return any of my voicemails. She talks about herself and her trips most of the appointments.
I temporarily felt so my relief that my son, after waiting years to find a psychiatrist to accept him as a patient only to be horribly disappointed.
