After years of being used and abused by the Canadian Armed Forces, Dr Bessette was tasked with the job of putting me back together. He performed a Arthroscopic labral repair procedure in January of 2023 which was very successful, I was fully recovered within 4 months and there is next to no scaring on the four incision sites. He is very upbeat and talks to you like a real person which is very comforting during any pre/post OP appointments. I wish all my Military health care providers were as competent and dedicated to provide a high level of service that Dr Bessette does. Thanks again Doc!

I came in for first time to see Dr. Bessette regarding a shoulder injury in late 2020. He not only identified a serious shoulder injury to rotator, but also felt there was some nerve damage that would require attention primarily. Dr. Bessette took the reigns and hooked me up with the best to address this and perform the necessary surgery. He followed through soon after with the rotator rebuild. Punctuality at 3 stars, well, sometimes you have to be patient for acquire the best. Martin

Dr. Bessette performed surgery on my shoulder and he was excellent. Very informative. He told me everything to expect and the outcome he was hoping. Unfortunately, due to the location and cause of the injury, the injury was not fixable and he could only clean out scar tissue, but he was very informative as to tell me why this occurred and give me specific exercises to do to help develop the strength now that the scar tissue was cleaned as well as giving me a list of good shoulder therapists to recover with. He was very thorough in his follow up and accommodating with me living out of town as I got the injury when I was at school. He always took the time to make sure my needs were met and always asked about my concerns and allowed me to voice my opinion. Very nice, wholesome person who cares about the patient not just about seeing as many people as he can as to why he can take an extra 15 minutes with a patient if needed and push back his scheduled appointment times. Would definitely recommend and will strongly consider him again if I need surgery even though I live 5+ hours away when I'm not at school.

Dr. Bessette performed surgery on both my shoulders. March 2014 and April 2017. Both for the same issue .. a torn supraspinatus tendon. He is very thorough and takes his time explaining the procedure. Seeing him moments before entering the OR room for any last questions was very comforting. He also did an arthroscopic procedure on one of my knees for a torn medial meniscus in Oct 2017. Again outstanding. Thanx Dr. Bessette !!! A+++

AMAZING !!! had Tibial Plateau Fracture in Oct, Dr B fixed me up with plates and screws...March now and walking with cane. Can not thank him enough for all he has done.

Dr Bessette : un vrai MAGICIEN. Il m'a opéré du genou pour une reconstruction du ligament croisé ( ACL) et il a été vraiment formidable. très professionnel et en même temps très attentif.
La guérison a été très rapide et je n'ai aucune cicatrice sur le genou.
Vraiment j'ai eu de la chance de tomber sur lui. Chapeau!! Je le recommande vivement!

Bonjour J'ai rencontré le doc le 4 sept 2019 et il a été vraiment très détaillé et rassurant dans ses explications. Il va bientot m'opérer du genou et je pense que tous les commentaires laissés ici et sa facon de me parler me conforte dans mon choix. J'espère revenir ici partager mon expérience après l'opération. J'ai rencontré docteur Bessette a l'hôpital Montfort dans un cas d'urgence,
Il était très professionnel, doux et patient avec moi . J'etais très nerveuse, et il m'a rassuré pour que je sois à l'aise de passer à travers la chirurgie. Il est venue me voir tous les jours pendant mon séjour à l'hôpital.. Je recommanderais fortement Dr. Bessette . Merci Dr.Bessette ;)

I was sent to Dr.Bessette through ER with a broken femur. I was terrified to undergo surgery for the first time ever in my life. Dr.Bessette was patient & so kind about it all. My scar was very minimal and I have healed quicker then expected due to his excellent surgical skills. Such a kind man.
