Dr. Keating fired me as her patient. She would not prescribe a med that I needed for fear I would become addicted. I bought the med in Mexico and told her that I did, she did not like it, but continued to see me. Lying to your doctors is very foolish, they need to know what meds you are taking. Because of a newly diagnosed heart condition I decided to get a second opinion from a cardiologist in Phoenix. In one of my visits he agreed to write an RX for that drug. He said he could see nothing in my records to indicate I was an abuser and agreed the med was in my best interest. It made her very angry that I went around her. Based on her attitude and how angry she was that I "had gone around her with another doctor", I felt her ego was bruised. In so many words she accused me of lying and being an addict and at that time fired me.

As others have also stated, she does not seem to listen, that could be personality, but it is not comfortable. My overall opinion and impression is that she really does not like what she is doing. Other than it is difficult to find a primary care doctor and so far have not found one, am relieved that she is no longer my primary. I always dreaded the appointment. In today's atmosphere, the fear of opioid abuse, some doctors have a knee jerk reaction and are more likely covering their backside rather than providing true care for the patient's needs. Certainly it is a major concern, but if anyone cares to really look at my records of RXs and medical history it is apparent I am not a drug abuser.

I have been concerned regarding my mothers memory difficulties for the last few years. I have tried to intervene for my mother but Dr Keating would not listen. My mother just got diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. If a patients family is concerned you would think the Dr. would be willing to talk to the family. Very dissatisfied with her care. We could have helped my mother years ago. Thanks Dr Keating.

Seems she thinks she needs to see her patients every 4 months. I have never had so much blood drawn in my life. She charged me $160 and she really didn't listen to anything I said. I am healthy, 50 & don't need to be seen every 4 months.I feel she does this to make sure she has a steady income; many of the tests she orders are unnecessary and repetetive. I am actively looking for another doctor who is more of a fit for me and my needs. I ended up paying almost $200 for the lab tests she ordered last time and I have insurance! She only gives you 3 months of refills to assure that you will have to return as they hold your prescriptions hostage and won't refill until you go back for another $160 office visit fee.I could see this if I were chronically ill but this is absurd. I don't need to have labs done every 4 months and I feel she does this to justify her requirements of a visit every 4 months.A little more eye contact would be good instead of interacting with the laptop would be nice
