Dr Gooch is fantastic and a great physician if you are looking for one. I highly recommend him and completely disagree with any negative reviews the trolls on this site have submitted.

Dr. Gooch is a highly competent MD. I am an RN and feel very comfortable seeing Dr. Gooch for family visits and have taken my children to see him. Dr. Gooch, at first may seem very serious and "all business" but acutally has a very dry and funny sense of humor. In addition he is very kind and concerned about his patients and their care. I have read some very unfair reviews where pts are upset about being referred to a specialist. Unfortunately this can be costly, however, it is the best practice and will provide the best and safest outcome for a pt. I appreciate an MD who stands his ground and is willing to take flack for doing what is in the best interest of his pt whether they agree or not.

I have been going to Dr. Gooch for five years now, and will continue to do so (insurance permitting.) It took sometime for me to get him to lighten up, he is a very professional business oriented docter, but I am now able to joke with him. I'm very comfortable at apts and feel Dr. Gooch is a very confident doctor.

I have been going to Dr Gooch for about two years now and I am very pleased with the level of care I get from him. He is soft spoken which is fine, he's not a pediatrician and I'm not a child who needs his doctor to play peek-a-boo with him. He has sent me too the specialist once and he was right on and I thank him for it. I have recommended a few people to Dr Gooch and they have all been pleased as well. If you are looking for a doctor that is going to come to your weekend BBQ, this is probably not the doc for you. If you want a highly competent doc who doesn't keep you waiting for an hour, you will like Dr Gooch. On a side note: A couple of these reviews are totally unfair. What doctor is going to diagnose and write a prescription without seeing the patient?!?

Do not go see Dr. Gooch. This weekend my wife got a simple allergic rash from a deodorant in her armpits. We called in for a prescription and he INSISTED that she drive to his office for an examination. He looked briefly at her, said "Yes, that's a rash", gave her a cream/steroid prescription and sent her off with a $78 bill. Totally unnecessary visit just to make some cash. I guess he needed to make a boat payment or something. To me, that kind of stuff comes close to blackmail. "Pay me $78 or suffer". Any ethical doctor would have let us call in for prescription for something that simple.

I would not recommend Dr Gooch to anyone. He was very cold and not very helpful. I was looking for a Dr in my area and he was really close, but it is worth it to drive farther to see a better Dr.
