Dr. Khatib provided terrible care. Seemed to be in the field for the money, rather than the care. Instead of looking for a diagnosis, he just kept adding pills for me to take, even when I explained they were not making any difference. Then the big issue- I was diagnosed with Cluster Headaches several years ago. The symptoms seemed to have gotten worse and in doing research on my own it did not appear to be anything to do with Cluster headaches. When I explained to him that my symptoms were much worse, he wanted nothing to do with the conversation. He made me feel as if I were an idiot and he couldn't get out of the room fast enough. He even responded with, and I quote, "I could refer you to a neurologist but that would be a waste of their time:"... I never went back to him after that. After finding a new Dr., she did send me to the neurologist and after testing, it was confirmed I was having a form of a seizure. NOT A CLUSTER HEADACHE. Big difference.

Glad he moved to Jordan! Treated me like I was dumb and he always seemed to be trying to get away instead of answering my questions. He usually blew off my concerns saying its probably nothing while walking out. I switched Drs and the new one was concerned about a swollen tonsil that Khatib blew off. New doc sent me to a specialist and I found out it could be a cyst or cancer. Mad that he ignored this potentially very serious issue, said it was my allergies. Only writing this review so others know, if he ever comes back.

My overall experience with Khatib is not good. Location is bad and seedy. Alternative site too far away. receptionist is rude. Did not feel listened to. Had to ask him to stay many times so I could ask my questions. Misdiagnosed some complaints - one that lead to surgery and was discovered by another dr. He dismissed my complaints most of the time and rushed out the door. He did have good sense of humor and very nice PA there. Would not recommend him.

Dr Khatib has been my primary care dr. for over 5 years.....Unless he were to move or expire...he will remain my Dr. Equally as good is his staff . This goes all the through to the receptionist. Dr is a brilliant man with "almost perfect bedside manner." One of his offices' was located in the Riverside area of Buffalo NY area...not the best neighborhood. Many of ther lowlifes that live in that area are nothing morw than Dr. Shoppers///looking for pills. Dr Khatib does NOT play ths game! And he'll let the "patient?" know it. I have personally heard him remove that "type" from his office. Fortunately, Dr Khatib has moved to a better office. For "ANYONE" to speak bad of him....he/she is most likely not involved in their own healthcare. I strongly suggest getting some books on the "net" and researching your own condition. Doing so will enlighten you just to what a good Dr Khatib truly is.

Insurance company not listed in this sites's listing: Independent Health Dr. is very practical with a good sense of humor. Seems that he perfers tried and true treatments/medications. Also seems to frown on over-medication. His advice, education and caring style has turned me from a failing heart with a much shorter life-span to taking an active interest in my health and course of treatment. Your appointment may be delayed due to a patient needing immediate advise or urgent treatment. You or someone in your family may need that type of service or attentiveness someday, please be patient. Superb bedside manner, Broad medical education. My wife, son, daughter, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law have all been or still are patients with him. Good contacts within the medical community. Dr's P.A. very knowledgeble and friendly.
