I'm 15 months post OP for ACDF which has been a huge success, Dr Matthew was very thorough but also extremely empathetic and interested in you becoming the best version of you... Dr Matthew always had your best interests in the fore front and was not just interested in just another surgery, From the start he made it clear he was good at what he did but also needed you to do your part and pursue with realistic expectations, I'm now pain free I'm back doing most of the things I used to and feel incredibly blessed to have found such a dedicated surgeon.
Matthews Staff were always so supportive and helpful. I travelled a long way for surgery and appointments and great consideration was always given.
I highly recommend Dr Matthew he is the BEST!!!

I have been a patient of Dr Scott-Young. He was totally up front and professional and very easy to communicate with. I was certainly at the end of my wits with pain and mobility and now after the operation on my spine I play golf regularly and have my full quality of life back thanks to Dr Matthew Scott- Young.

Due to my own medical reasons I first had surgery with Matthew in 2009 of my cervical spine with fantastic success. Fast forward to December 2022 when I had my right Sacroiliac Joint Fused for which I am recovering well from. I have had a few other surgeries in between also with Matthew which shows how much I trust and respect him as I have continued to come back to him. He is thorough, takes the time to explain everything and is caring. He is passionate about his work and it’s easy to see this. He also has a great team of staff that work for him. I cannot speak highly enough of Matthew and what he has done for me. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr Matthew Scott-Young performed lumbar disc replacement surgery at my L5/S1 17 years ago…I’ve since been completely pain-free after previously experiencing severe back/leg pain.
He also performed a two-level cervical spine operation on my C5/6 & C6/7 using a fusion cage & a disc replacement device 6 years ago after many years of significant neck/arm pain. Again, completely pain-free since the surgery. Dr Scott-Young is a world class surgeon who genuinely cares about his patients.

It is now over 10 years since I had my back surgery operated on from Dr Matthew Scott-Young. It has been a tremendous success and I am over the moon with the results., no more pain, can exercise, do anything! Matthew is very thorough and down to earth. They come from all over Australia to see Matthew and he is amongst the top back surgeons in the world. I highly recommend Matthew as I had seen a few specialists before hearing about Matthew. It was actually a ortho specialist from the Wesley Hospital that recommended Matthew to me he told me he could do the surgery but Matthew is the best in the country, so thanks to that specialist I got the best!

I give thanks to God every day for leading me to Matthew. Five years ago Matthew operated on C1-C5 of my neck and gave me back a life free of pain. For years I had suffered unbearable pain and now at 84 years of age am free of pain. I am 'bionic woman'. Over the past five years I have won money that enabled me to travel the world. Recently underwent a interbody L5-S1 fusion with Matthew, excellent service, delivered by a thorough and professional team. Even before he looked at my scans he’d nailed to problem simply by feeling my spine, then confirmed this by explaining everything clearly using the scans. Very experienced, made it all feel so easy and gave me confidence to have the surgery.
