I was suffering from severe pain caused by a large cyst. This event unexpectedly occurred at night so i went to urgent care. The dr gave me something for the pain and told me to see my derm immediately. I called the following morning. I was halfway explaining the situation to the receptionist when she interrupted to tell me the earliest appt wouldn't be for a month! When I reiterated the pain I was in, she only said if I wanted the appt, or not. I couldn't believe how insensitive she was. I asked her to inform my dr what was going on. She called me back (surprisingly) to tell me the dr can't see you any earlier and repeated if I wanted the appt the next month!! Unbelievable. I seen the dr for years and couldn't believe he never followed up with me (even an email) to see how I was managed.
