As a direct-care worker for a human service agency who took an individual with a severe cognitive disability to Dr. Ellis' office, I was amazed at Dr. Ellis' kindness. Dr. Ellis took the initiative to ask how we could make the visit more comfortable for the individual and even suggested seeing him in a larger less-intimidating room of his office. As a direct-care worker, one of my main responsibilities is taking individuals to medical appointments and I have never met a doctor who cared so much about making the visit comfortable for the individual. He is an excellent doctor and an amazingly kind human being.
