I work in employee benefits and I know that there are many dentists out there that are very dishonest and will create work that is not needed. Dr. Loh is not one of those dentists. He is as kind and honest as a person can get. I highly recommend him and I'm so glad that I went to him by chance because I worked in the same building as him. I was told by a different dentist before going to Dr. Loh that I needed major work and a filling on my back molar. Dr. Loh showed me my x-rays and said that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my tooth!
I also told my mom to see him because her dentist told her she needed a bunch of work done... For years, it was never ending… She went to see Dr. Loh and he told her that she didn't actually need to have that work done. He is truly honest and a really good person as well.

I have been a patient of Dr Loh's for over 15 years. He is an excellent clinician and has an awesome, longstanding staff, which is a very good sign. He is a quality man and Dentist. His dramatic shift in attitide over the past few years has caused me to find a new Dentist about a year ago, though. I am writing this because a friend of mine is also his patient and says the same things about his attitude. Hopefully some constructive criticism that he loves to give can be accepted and implemented to preserve his waning career. His "brushing lecture" ( they actually call it a lecture) is long and monotonous and he is always trying to be right on every single point he discusses with you. He will ask you questions about diet, exercise and personal habits and no matter how great they are, he will ALWAYS find a way to criticize and one-up you. It is extremely frustrating as a white collar professional to be belittled constantly while in his chair. His wife's passing a few years ago was tragic and it seems as though he is fighting to be important or superior since then. He is a nice man, but I am a grown professional in my 50s and do NOT appreciate being scolded when I am choosing to pay someone to care for me, NOT critique every last aspect of my life. I wish him no ill will, I am simply tired of feeling like a naughty child whenever I get my teeth cleaned! Office is clean, actual work is great, and he is on time and thorough. I must be fair and give him that.

Excellent dentist - very thorough, punctual and personable. Always makes me feel comfortable with sense of humour. Dr. Loh does all the cleaning - not the hygienist. If you are thinking of going to his practice, just be prepared to spend 2 hours at his initial appointment - he will give you a very detailed tutorial about how to brush teeth.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Loh for over 15 years. I like that he explains how to properly clean your teeth, and is always punctual. Every visit, without fail, he cleans my teeth and cracks me up with a joke. Him and his staff is very friendly making every visit an absolute pleasure.

i have been going to Dr. Loh for 5 years. He is a great dentist and an artful joke teller. He will refer you if he believes it is outside his area, but that is what I would expect. The staff is great and so are the views of False Creek.

He was my dentist for about 10 years, but he got lazy and didn't catch a few cavities and now i am having a root canal as a result. I have great hygiene. I think it started to go downhill when i decided on braces instead of the Invisiline he is peddling. He is a fine dentist when he doesn't have to do anything. He is a very nice man, but I switched dental practices to somebody who is interested in preventative care also. Out of 5, this guy gets a 2.

my husband and I have been patients of his for 16 years.We have never experienced a moment of discomfort.Fillings,crowns,extractions..all done perfectly.D.Loh referred my husband for dental implants as his was a very difficult case.I firmly believe they have changed and possibly saved his life.No better dentist out there!

My family and I saw dr.loh plenty of times,have since moved too far away to continue seeing him. He is very personable and knowledgable and ahead of his time. He uses the latest pain reducing techniques and all the newest technology to make patients more comfortable, less anxious and even though i am still white knuckling the arm rests on the chair because i'm nervous it's a much better experience at his office than any of the numerous dentists i have had before him. Yes he is particular about how you brush and insists his procedure it the best (whose to say it isn't? he is an expert) and it does sound like a bit of a scolding sometimes he is fabulous and funny and easy on the eyes and so wonderful with his patients that it's totally worth it! Seriously he's the best dentist that has ever worked on my teeth!
