Straight talker. Kind, soft spoken, He is a very knowledgeable person. Called our home so both my wife and I could hear him. My wife was a second ear.

Dr. Benke is awesome! I was suffering in the ER for weeks with doctors just giving my antibiotics and fluids. After a couple weeks of that. Dr.Benke saw me right away when a doctor finally went to him about my case, he did a bone marrow biopsy and the next day i was admitted in Foothills Hospital with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. If it wasn't for his fast actions and response time, i could have died. I ended up having a bone marrow transplant and am now in remission for 3+ years. Being a young adult diagnosed with cancer isn't easy, but he was very compassionate,

We have known Dr. Benke for some years now. He treated my mother when we found out she had cancer. He treated her at a time when it was discovered late and she nearly died. Dr. Benke did everything possible and necessary that he could. She went into full remission, with care and prayer. We were able to be with her longer because of God’s mercy and Dr. Benke. He has an excellent staff, too. This was around the time they were building the cancer clinic in the hospital. My mother was able to go there when it was finished and they also have many fine and caring doctors and staff. He is my doctor too. He is very busy, which might account for seeming supposedly not caring. It is good to ask questions and even have them written down while with a doctor, for those of us with poorer memories. Dr. Benke does explain things and answers questions if asked. He is excellent at getting to the root of issues and working to correct them, if possible. He also has a pleasant bedside manner. That is like gold to some of us.

After reading these reviews I can only determine there is another Dr. Benke practicing medicine and he was not the one we saw.

I have been Dr. Benke's patient since he first moved to Lethbridge. I have CVID and he has been very helpful in my treatment and making sure that my health is on target. Would recommend.

Dr. Benke has been my Dr. For many years treating me for polycythemia and I have every confidence in him...recently he called me at home with test results about lymphoma and where we will go from here...I know I am in good hands..Thank You Dr. Benke. Gwen from Lethbridge

Dr. Benke lives up to all the expectations we want to see in a doctor. He still has the old fashioned way of treating patients. He is compassionate, thorough, calm, soothing and has excellent communication skills. I have never felt rushed and always left the office feeling that I was in good hands.

I was diagnosed with a very aggressive type of Stage IV Lymphoma in the Fall of 2011. Since then, I've had 3 relapses however had it not been for Dr. Benke's quick diagnosis and entry into treatment on the first bout, I would not be here today. My analogy to him regarding cancer treatment....to me it was like being a small, injured bird that just fell out of it's nest into a yard filled with hungry cancer cats. Dr Benke not only put me, the small very sick bird, back in my nest but gave me a fighting chance to get thru my first bout and hit the 3 relapses I have survived since then (and am still here!!!). Dr. Benke is an excellent doctor with an excellent team. Think the world of everyone working at the Jack Ady Cancer Center in Lethbridge. Be very glad you have his team on your team.
