I cannot say enough good about Dr. G. My doctor left and Dr. G took over my care. I have never had a doctor be so thorough. And understanding if I send a question or concern, he has responded within 12 hours and usual less. He has found out how to treat something new other doctor has tried to look into. He's a keeper for me. I am a woman almost 80 years old, and he was very compassionate of my lack of understanding and memory.

Dr Galvin has a major attitude. When you are there you feel like you are keeping him from something more important.I have spoken to former employees and other Doctors who agree that he is a jerk.He doesn't return phone calls. I called on a Mon morning & by 5pm he still hadn't called back.I called again & was told he was busy & would get to me. 9am the next morning I called again & was told by the rude receptionist that he left a note IN my chart that he needed to see me.I am not psychic,no one was planning on calling to tell me.Then was told he couldn't see me for 4 days.I ended up in the ER that night with chest pains. That day I switched to a new doctor and had an app within 24 hrs. When sick its days sometimes 2 weeks before he can see you.I have told them "I may be dead by then". They will tell you to go to urgent care or the ER.I was under the impression that we have a primary doctor to help us when we are sick. Not the case if Galvin is your primary.

My elderly mother had him for her doctor when she was in the hospital. When I asked to speak to him about my mother's care he abruptly told the nurse she was not his patient. She was his patient. I will never go to this man and neither will any of my family. A vet is a better option.

Terrible office. I have recently switched because of the poorness of the office. I have never waited less than 45 mins to be seen in a empty office. The office staff are extremely rude and the doctor doesn't seem to care of do anything but ask you pointless questions during the 5 mins he actually spent with me. He was quick to just tell me to do to someone else. Both times I have gotten referral they never put the referrals into my insurance company causing me to show up for appointments that my insurance company didn't get to authorize that delayed the appt that I really needed. The office is a mess so unorganized. Do not recommend at all.

I have to second this rating because it sounds like exactly what happened with our family: "I have dealt with this MD with a relatives care and find him very irritable, condescending, abrupt and without kindness or compassion. I would not recommend him for care." Once we decided we needed another opinion he gave us the boot. Very unprofessional as far as a doctor goes.

if you want to be moddy-coddled Dr. Galvin is not for you. However, if you want it straight up he is good. I found his bedside manner good. He is prompt and has always been readily available. If he doesn't have the answer he will tell you that also.

Dr. Galvin was very nice but told me to stop taking my COPD meds on the strength of a simple peak flow meter test in his office. Also, because my blood pressure was normal, he told me to stop taking that med as well. My blood pressure went up and my breathing became awful. Next, he was going to put me on statins when simply waiting for the thyroid med to take full effect would (and has) lowered my cholesterol without them. I am hugely unimpressed and even frightened of this man.
