Extremely knowledgeable about our specific type of dementia, Lewy body Dementia. Able to Taylor meds to match the wide variation within this disease.

He sat on my MRI for 4 months, I called every week before that as my GP had immediately notified me of the scan and Foti's responsibility to follow-up. Eventually he called and the scan showed a tumor in an area of my brain he said was inoperable and that I had no other option but to "wait for it to get worse". I requested a neurosurg referral from my GP who gave a second opinion. I'm now 2 years post-op, so far so good. Fired that man the minute I got the second opinion. Arrogant, ignorant, apathetic.

He doesn't listen his patients' concerns. Not at all... very frustrating.

Doesn't listen to patients concern and brushes them off. I have been dealing with my medical issues for over 10 years no resolve. To get brushed off again after waiting for months/years to see a specialist after getting a referral and going to ER and doctors is extremely frustrating.

I have known many arrogant physicians in my time (I was married to one!) but Foti is one of the worst. I don't care how knowledgeable a doctor is. If he or she can't have a respectful conversation with a patient who is, after all, already feeling vulnerable while worried about a potential diagnosis, then he or she is worse than useless. This doctor was actually playing on his phone while we were talking to him. He tried to hide what he was doing behind his desk but it was obvious that he was brushing off our concerns and only wanted us out of the office. Of course now we are seeing more of what was already then obvious deterioration and which was totally dismissed by him. I wouldn't be writing this as I originally thought that perhaps it was only I who reacted badly to this man. But recently my niece reported to me an absolutely appalling visit with this doctor (he told her to "stop talking" while she was asking him a question), and then I heard about another patient to whom he was equally condescending and uncaring. I then realized that my original judgment was bang on and although it's been some time since our visit to his office I realized that I should try to spare anyone else from having to deal with this man. I am not questioning his medical expertise (I don't know about that); rather it is his manner which is so deficient and alienating.

Dr. Foti, do yourself and those you serve a favour: be kind, listen, show respect, have patience.

Dr. Foti was thorough, personable and answered all my questions. I was really nervous to meet with him because of all the negative reviews. He was the exact opposite. I think it might be some kind of troll making trouble for him. He was wonderful and patient and had a great bedside manner

OK. The visitation was very quick. Dr. Foti asked a few "logic questions/and logic "what's next in a series" tests.

Different than past years, I did not receive any feedback regarding My visitation.

I assume that "no news is good news".

One of the worst doctors I have ever visited. Not considerate at all and super disrespectful. Did not help me at all. Go elsewhere if possible.

N empathy .and 45 minutes late. He ended up cancelling the consultation 5 minutes in, because he said I insulted him by declaring he had no experience dealing with homeless people. A very disappointing experience.

The UBC clinic hasn’t made any advancements in addressing Alzeihmers. I would strongly advise against taking a loved one here. The experience will just amplify the pain and suffering that we endure in the presence of a disease that people still don’t understand or know how to treat. At most Dr. Foti will refer you to the Alzeihmers society and tell you to take care of your finances. Thanks a lot for the undignified experience. Shame on the medical community here.
