We were new to the area and needed a GP. We were very lucky to have found Dr. Ford. She helped me address one major medical issue and is working on a 2nd that she discovered. Her testing is through and she makes sure that you follow up until she is satisfied with the results. Her staff is friendly and very helpful. I am very happy to have Dr. Ford and her staff as my doctor.

The doctor is okay and the staff is HORRIFIC!!! Extremely rude and disrespectful. Had no concern for my sister's serious health condition. Never again will I visit this office. My heart broke the way the lady showed no consideration for my sister's health. She repeatedly said "I don't care. I'm not sending the referral this week. It'll be done in 7 days." They had send they'd be sending the referral to the other Dr but didn't!!! Showed up to the other docs appointment and no referral had bee submitted by Anit Ford's staff!

Dr Ford is the most thorough doctor I've ever had. She is a good listener and generally very compassionate, though at times she appears stressed and is less friendly. Her physician assistant is also very good.

I have been with Dr. Ford for several years. There have been times the wait was longer during season or to try to get an appointment. But her staff always tries to get you in. But the wait is well worth waiting for Dr. Ford. She not only really listens, but she remembers and genuinely cares. Dr. Ford is thorough and has been a great partner in my complicated medical condition. I love her and highly recommend Dr. Ford. The office has also evolved they are a top notch staff.

Dr. Ford has been my physician for over 10 years. I have not met a more compassionate, knowledgeable and professional physician. I highly recommend her.

During appointments, doctor is excellent in accurately diagnosing medical problems; her apparently caring manner; spending time with you; making referrals to appropriate quality specialists; and knowledge of past and current medical issues. However, my experience is that it is very difficult to get a timely appointment for non-emergency, significant health issues – staff generally advises to go to emergency room/see nurse practitioner; long wait time for appointments made in advance; staff generally not timely in responding to pharmacies; try to get you to see nurse practitioner rather than doctor; the Dr. Ford is only affiliated with Doctors Hospital, not Sarasota Medical Hospital (SMH), so no rounds at SMH or affiliated outpatient/inpatient care facilities. I have no knowledge of her or her staff [nurse] contacting physicians or patient during hospitalizations or other inpatient/outpatient care or contacting physicians referred to, despite receiving physician reports, etc.

Dr. Ford's office is simply not efficient. I got a call from the RECEPTIONIST informing me the doctor recommended a liver/spleen scan. When I asked to speak to the doctor to get a reason, I was told a nurse would call me, not the doctor. I also had to wait 72 hours to get a response re: my pap smear, which was an abnormal result. Need a good doctor? Don't go to Dr. Ford?

Dr Ford is terrible... no bedside manner and not knowledgable about ordinary conditions. I would NEVER go back to her.
