Dr. Mendel has been our family doctor for probably 20+ years yes it takes a long time to get seen, probably his worst offense. When it's your turn you are grateful. You have to take the good with the bad.

The trains don't always run on time in Dr. Mendel's office. That's because he spends a great deal of time with each patient. Yes waiting is a PITA, BUT you never get the bum's rush when you finally get to see Dr. Mendel. So there are tradeoffs in everything.

The staff isn't perfect, but who is? If you have a complaint, relay it to Dr. Mendel.

My family has been going here for 20 yrs and we would not go anywhere else.

Without going into too much detail, my wife had a study done and the doctor dismissed it has nothing to worry about because she has a small slender figure. Come to find out the report actually said that she needed to seek the help of a specialist.  Rather than taking the time to address her concerns and symptoms he simply dismissed her because she did not fit the stereotypical profile for the disorder.

Very rude staff. Also they DO NOT RESPECT YOUR TIME. ALWAYS RUN LATE. Why even set an appointment if you have to wait 2 hours anyway?

I tried to make a new patient appointment with Dr Mendel and was told by the receptionist he's not accepting 61 year old patients. I thought it was all about insurance. I have BCBS PPO. I didn't know age was now a discriminator in medicine.

Dr. Peter Mendel is the best doctor I've ever had. He is truly interested in his patients and takes the time to know them. I would not go to anyone else. I trust him and in the 10+ years he has been my doctor, I would and do trust him with my life.

I have a patient of Dr Mendels for over 10 years. He is a doctor you can trust not only to listen but keep up with the latest in medical procedures and medicines. He has been treating me for diabeties for the past 5 years and I find it amazing that he keeps up with the latest in treating this disease. Be prepared to wait in the waiting room as he does take time with each of his patients. The front desk staff could be more friendly, but I find the nurses to some of the best. In closing I would highly recommend Dr. Mendel as your family doctor. He truely cares about his patients and will tell you the facts of your medical condition in a caring way. One of the things I like best about him is that even being a caring doctor he has no problem saying to a patient that if you are not going to follow prescribed remedies, then why waste your time and money coming to see him.

average waiting time is one hour. Dr. Mendel wrote an unclear prescription causing many follow-up calls among me, him and the hospital where I was scheduled to have a surgery. The doctor blamed me for his foul-up, having to get involved in the matter and to spent his time. The hospital canceled the surgery one day before the surgery for I did not have a presurgery-screen. The doctor did not know or care to tell me that I neeed one. On the day when I had the presurgery screen,I asked the nurse to ask the doctor a surgery related question. She refused flat and said the doctor was finished with me. She pointed to the door and told me to "OUT". No patient deserves treatment in this humiliating and harrassing manner. On the day of surgery I found out the doctor input the wrong info in the presurgery form, which showed negligence and lack of care. The surgery found I had no cancer, but I am still so hurt and tramatized by this whole expeience dealing with my family doctor and his staff.

Very knowledgable and compassionate family practice physician. He's been our family doctor for 19 years, and I would have a hard time going to someone else. He takes the time to listen to his patients, which seems to be a lost art to some. Sometimes there is a long wait to see him, but this is because he's taking time with each patient. I would (and have) recommmended him to anyone looking for a real doctor, who takes his commitment to medicine to heart.
