Was 4 minutes late for an appointment and she refused to see me. I’ve never been late for an appointment before until now due to the babysitter being late to my home. I’ve never been treated with such disrespect and lack of compassion. Seems pretty wrong to turn away someone looking for medical care.

As always Dr Swayze is thorough, friendly and knowledgeable.
After many years she is still my #1 doctor and the use of a portal has sped up information and prompt care.
Highly recommend. I am grateful to have her…..

Dr S used to be a caring family Doctor.
She is too busy "chatting" outside the examination room I am sitting in naked and waiting for her to do my Pap.
30 minutes later she comes in saying that "she was in an emergency" HA!
I am done.
Sheila was the only reason I stayed so long and now she has disappeared.
I hope she found an employer that appreciates her kindness and generosity

This Doctor is a drugist... helping a mother who is an alcoholic drug up her son to help her in court. While she abuses him. She has gone three years not wanting to talk with the father, she prescribes without talking to the patient. There used to be a lot more negative comments up about this Doctor but she keeps on taking them down and replacing them with clearly fake reviews. Trying to mess with a childrens lawyer to benefit herself and her kickbacks!

Dr.Swayze has been my Dr for over 30 years . The care she provides is fabulous. I can’t thank her and her staff
enough . I had complications after a surgery - one of my ureters were cauterized during a hysterectomy. I became very ill and could have died. The whole ordeal was a nightmare and lasted over 1 1/2 years . Dr Swayze was extremely attentive , compassionate and resourceful in helping me get referrals to specialists. She ordered tests and would follow up with me . She was always very supportive. I appreciate how easy she is to talk to and her kind bedside manner . Her dedication helped me regain my health back . I am forever grateful.

Dr. Swayze has been my doctor for at least 20 years and she used to be one of the best doctor's I had been to. But it seems that she may have hung up her medical diploma and replaced with an entrepreneurial mindset. It's now just a medical school training "factory" and your chances of seeing her, or any "experienced" physician is slim to none. That having been said, the interns have been really good so I haven't experienced any real challenges on that front. The one other thing about Dr. Swayze that others have noted here, is that it's almost like she's on commission with the drug companies. She does love to prescribe pills for anything and everything. If you love your pharma, she's your gal.

This is the Third time she has taken away the comments I ve left about how my 10 year old son is being treated by Dr. Swayze. She has dismissed all the info that is out there about why he is acting the way he is. He has a very abusive mom. Dr. Swayze calls it ADHD. Just to put a pill on it. She has the whole family on the other side on meds. Pill pushing should not be done to children. This is going to wind her in very hot water. She's using a psychologist from the hospital that also pushes pills. It's like a guarantee your going to get them with her. I've read a few similar complaints on here. Seems to be a trend. I have a lawyer involved plus a children's lawyer. My ex is even saying she will interfere in court to say. That I will have to be under supervision while I have my son. As I am not the abusive one, the mother is. So happens to be her family doctor. I will now be making a formal complaint. This is way out of control. Playing with a kids mind during and early puberty is irresponsible. She refuses to talk to me. So now, she will have to talk to the authorities.

Amazing doctor! She always takes care of everything with a smile. She knows medicine like the back of her hand. She will always issue care with compassion and takes the time to make sure you are content with the optimum care she provides

I had this doctor for over 20 years. She used to be a great doctor but since she moved to Ontario Street you can’t get in to see her unless you want to wait for 3 or 4 weeks. You can’t plan when you are going to be sick. I was always pushed off on an assistant all the time . When I was able to see her I was supposed to be referred to Hamilton but never got an appointment. I had been sick for over a year and was complaining that I didn’t feel good and was told that I had a virus. I kept saying that something was wrong because I kept getting infections but nothing was done. I found another doctor and turns out that I have an autoimmune problem. It was all about pushing pills. She had me on 2 cholesterol medication when I only needed 1. If you want help when you are sick don’t go here. It is all about the money and teaching not about patient care! Shame on you Dr. Swayze, you used to be such a wonderful doctor.

Reading some of these comments makes realize I was not wrong about Dr S whom I stopped seeing many years ago after moving to the US where I got FABULOUS healthcare with kind and caring and professional MD’s. Having spent a lot of time the last few years in St C to help elderly parents I am appalled by all the signs everywhere saying ‘abusive language and behavior towards staff will not be tolerated’- that’s fine, but what about doctors’ abusive and horrible behavior? Are we to tolerate that? Why? To Dr S reading this: you violated my constitutional rights- you screamed at me for lodging a complaint against an endocrinologist who was criticizing my LYME doctor in the US- ie: practice medicine that is WITHIN YOUR REALM OF KNOWLEDGE and quit trying to prove you know more than doctors who have seen thousands upon thousands of misdiagnosed, horribly ill patients like myself (bedridden for more than 13 years). It is our RIGHT as CONSUMERS to complain about incompetent, illiterate and abusive doctors. We do NOT live in a dictatorship, we have RIGHTS, understood? Also, thank you for ruining my friendship with an MD friend who had referred me to you in the first place. Lower than the lowest, this woman should have had her license revoked many years ago.
