I could tell he was very motivated to find out what my problem was . Identified a heart murmur that no one else ie at least 3 other doctors , NP who had already checked me out had …Recent test showed I have aortic stenosis .

Dr Cwinn was very receptive to my concerns and made me feel like I knew what was necessary for my 'old' age and provided the care I needed with a wonderful bedside manner. TOH is lucky to have this man on their staff.

I came across Dr. Cwinn’s name while searching for a specialist that I will be seeing. I immediately recognized his name and remembered my interactions with him over 20 years ago at the General Hospital. He is definitely a rarity in his speciality. Emergency Medicine doctors tend to be dismissive or judgemental. Not this man.
He’s only one of a handful of clinicians who left a lasting impression on me. My interactions with him were always positive. He cared and it showed. I responded to him, because he was friendly and non-judgmental. Plus he explained things. He always tried to help and treated me like a human being even though at the time no one really knew what my diagnosis was.

Dr. Cwinn is an amazing person. He is kind, patient caring and knowledgeable in his field. He makes you feel like you are really being heard and really being taken care of in emergency. He is so human in his care for patients. Not all doctors have this natural ability especially in such a busy environment. Thank you for your great care yesterday at the General Hospital emergency.

Dr. Cwinn was incredibly kind, patient, knowledgeable, and clear. He was sensitive to my needs when I came in after a pretty scary accident while pregnant.
He spent time explaining everything to me, he was compassionate when I expressed my anxieties/fears and was very efficient at diagnosing and treating me.
I wish I could have hugged him on my way out (darn COVID!).

Very efficient and straight to the point Doctor. Very helpful. Straightened me out, because often I talk too much irrelevant things! I wouldn't and couldn't work in a ER Department. Too many people, too much pressure, yet Dr. Cwinn is still polite, and pays attention to his patients.

How can you scored Punctuality in ER...The staff never stopped, although they shovelled me 8 times playing musical chair, guess I was not a dying case but a painful wrist. My waiting time was 7:30 hours but finally I saw Dr. Cwinn. Knowledgeable physician, very polite, efficient, I received good treatment and referral to the right specialist. The Civic is lucky to have that physician and staff! Thank You!

Was seen by this Doctor at the Ottawa General and was extremely pleased with how my visit went. He is thorough and very knowledgeable. He took the time to listen and explained things thoroughly. Very pleased indeed. Could not ask for a better doctor. The hospital is fortunate to him on staff.
