It seems that Dr. Schuringa only cares about money. He wanted to do an unnecessary surgery when he knew it was a WSIB case. He changed his opinion and diagnosis everytime I saw him, all the while changing my casts, splints and treatement. After reading other reviews I decided to get a second opinion (thank goodness!!!) I will never go back to see him again, and strongly urge others to read the reviews he has, especially as a WSIB patient. He is also very rude, dismissive and arrogant and doesn't listen to his patients. I am now seeing another very credible orthopedic surgeon who is fixing Schuringa's mistakes.

This was my first visit to Dr. Schuringa. I found him to be very helpful and he thoroughly explained everything to me in detail about my trigger finger and the required treatment which he immediately gave me I would certainly recommend him to anyone needing treatment for the same problem.

Hi dismissed me and quickly scanned my X-rays, told me nothing was wrong. 3 days later my doctor called me to tell me my wrist is still fractured and I have a displaced bone. This doctor didn’t even view my X-ray report or all the angles of my X-rays. Completely unacceptable. My family doctor is referring me to a new orthopaedic surgeon.

Arrogant, dismissive, lacking kindness, concern or empathy. He didn’t even physically examine my wrist or read any of my history (I was referred by another Ortho who thought I deserved a second opinion.) He did not attempt to explore what is causing my lack of range of motion post fracture. I left his office feeling hopeless and defeated.

This rating is long overdue. I had hand surgery a few years ago and I can not say enough about what this Doctor has done for me. Pain free and able to use my had to it's full capacity, just like he promised me. I was not prepared for the long recovery but I did what was asked and it was so worth the wait!! Back doing what I used to do!!

Dr Shuringa is a cluster fornication, his bedside manner is horrific and he screwed up both my wife’s hands. If you are referred to this clown, decline and ask for someone else. My wife will be years away from being pain free because of this idiot who calls himself a surgeon
