Worst experience ever! This doctor has a serious attitude problem- he was rude, arrogant and very condescending. In his mind everything is very obvious, so when I asked directly related questions he was visibly annoyed. He was not interested at all in being there, he showed no genuine interest in my problem and looked like he hated his job. He was so expressionless and sleepy, he was practically about to fall asleep during my diagnosis. I couldn't say anything without him interrupting me and just wanted to get out of there before I burst into tears. Not to mention he seemed to berate me for everything I did wrong more then actually getting to my diagnosis. Not to mention his office has signs that say we only get 10 minutes so the entire appointment just feels rushed.
After reviewing my skin condition, Dr. Gray concluded he wasn't sure what my problem was. Which is fine - doctors can't be expected to diagnose every condition on the spot. However, instead of taking a skin sample to test what the problem actually was (rosacea? a fungus? eczema?), he simply proceeded to prescribe a host of different topical creams. He then berated me for not bringing in my history of prescriptions - granted I should have brought them in, but his demeaning attitude was unnecessary.
Since none of his prescribed creams worked, I went to another dermatologist, who not only took a skin sample, but also examined my feet - apparently Dr. Gray isn't aware that feet should be examined for my condition, given that they're frequently its cause.
Although some people in this review board have had positive experiences, during my appointment Dr. Gray lacked thoroughness, knowledge, and interpersonal skills.
Dr. Robin Gray is an excellent dermatologist. Highly knowledgeable, and kind. He tried to get to the roots of my problems. He explained what may have caused them. He gave me options
regarding the medicines to take, and he answered all my questions. Dr. Gray is very patient
and very well organized. He cured me of a digital cyst on my toe which had bothered me for ten years and which no other doctor had been able to heal. He also helped me successfully with Rosacea. I am very grateful to Dr. Robin Gray, and I will always consult him for my skin
problems. He is the best of all the dermatologists I have been visited in my long life. His staff is
helpful, polite and friendly.
Honestly, one of the nicest doctors that I have seen. And I have now seen him multiple times. I found him very knowledgeable and generous with his time. While some may preceive that he is sleepy or disinterested, I think he is deep in thought at times.
I had a biopsy done by Dr Gray and it was incredibly professional and virtually painless during the procedure. I have had biopsies, by other doctor in the past, that were excruciating.
He took a genuine interest in my over all health as well as the health of my skin, which I greatly appreciated. These days many doctors just one to treat one symptom at a time, get their cash for seeing a patient and get you out of the office. If you have a true interest in your own health care, then Dr Gray is an excellent choice.
I have read his reviews and I know they are not all perfect. He is a human being, as are his staff. Be patient and try to take a moment to get to know people and where they are coming from.
Dr. Grey was excellent. I was very happy with my experience especially his *soft touch* while he was working on my nose, which was very infected on the tip. Other reviews said he was arrogant and sleepy, but I found him to be quietly friendly and very knowledgeable. I did have to wait awhile for my appointment, however he was very efficient and thorough once the appointment began. Dr.'s offices are busy, so I was prepared to wait my turn. The office waiting room was just fine with comfortable chairs.
Terrible experience. Kept me waiting for over 1 hour past appointment time. To make an appointment, you must go through an answering service only. When I needed to postpone an upcoming appointment with him, the office never called back to reschedule and now has refused to provide treatment at all. Don't waste your time with him
One of the worst experience I have ever had visiting doctor. the front desk girls are some high school unexperienced kid. I had an appointment at 2:30pm and has been waiting for him for another 1hr20 min in a small tiny room left without any explanation whats going on. and Dr. Grey is just simply very unfriendly person with high ego and no respect. Moreover the solution for my problem he had was the one which most of advance doctors do not provide anymore based on the progress of science and technology. Don't waste your time. I left the place extreemely upset and dissapointed
I left this man's office bleeding and in tears. Not only was he unempathetic, but he began treating me without a word as to what I should expect, what he would be doing, or what I could do to prevent myself from experiencing this in the future. When asked, he said there wasn't really anything I could do about it (ingrown hairs) or the scars (hyperpigmentation). I was balling my eyes out by the time I left he was so callous and uncaring. I would NEVER recommend anyone go to him. My appointment was awkward and uncomfortable as was he. I went back to the clinic that referred them and I'm not the first person to complain. It makes sense to me that someone like Dr. Gray would care so little about his patients, one look at him and you can see he clearly doesn't care about himself. Save yourself the pain and emotional aftershock and go elsewhere.
