He was on the team that removed my pituitary macroadenoma. The post surgery visits we quick and the pain was minimal. My nose and sinuses have completely healed and I am feeling a lot better. I passed the smell test at 100%. I greatful for Dr. Griffiths he did a great job. I learned a lot from him during the visits as he was describing exactly what he was doing.
Dr. Griffiths is a wonderful doctor. He is obviously a busy man, but that is because he is so good at what he does. He worked with Dr. Kelly and removed a pituitary tumor and his care and knowledge of my condition astounded me. I would not expect an ENT to know so much about endocrine disorders and that just goes to show that he cares about understanding all aspects of his patients conditions, not just his specialized portion. Thank you Dr. Griffiths for your care! I highly recommend him.
Dr. Griffiths is an amazing doctor. He is also a medical pioneer: in 2001 he and his colleague Dr. Krauss were first in the world to remove an eye tumor through a woman's nose, restoring her vision. I had a serious condition...a brain tumor that was causing me to go blind...and I researched and spoke with a number of doctors before I made my choice. I trusted him with my life. I also want to note that I was scared (the surgery I needed has a risk of death and impairment) and scheduled surgery, then cancelled it, then delayed it...and Dr. Griffiths was very patient and kind with me throughout, and answered (and re-answered) my many questions with compassion and kindness.
Had to wait 3 hours in office and the doctor did not show up for the first appointment. I came back 2 days later and this time he was only an hour and a half late. He biopsied several things from my head and neck area and I had an infection in my throat. He gave me antibiotics to cover the infection but the antibiotics did not work. My general medical doctor asked for the records with the culture and sensitivity of the infection and the antibiotic sensitivity showed that the antibiotic would not work because it was resistant. He did not even check to see what antibiotics would work before giving one to me. Very sloppy. My infection got much worse and I had to go to another ENT for better conscientious treatment. Late and sloppy is not a good combination for a doctor. He did not even seen to care and said he was busy and having problems with his wife and family at home (that is not a good excuse for poor treatment and poor follow up). Will not go back.
Dr Chester Griffith is a leader in the medical field. He is second to no one and demands the best very everyone he surrounds himself with because, he is the best. I was sick every 3-4 months from sinus infections that spaned a three year period. I am going on my eigth year with no problems. NEVER eat at an empty restaurant. His office is NEVER empty!
After five years with the top five rated hospital, Dr. Griffiths finally gave me a name and treatment for the problem with my ears that had almost completely destroyed my life - this illness on the heels of a rare illness so it's forgivable that doc's can get too close [just like any relationship] and they missed this problem called Meniere's disease. Dr. Griffiths quickly diagnosed me, listened to me didn't hand me back my list of symptoms and led me to treatment. I am no longer experiencing the awful pain from Meniere's disorder. I credit his ability to think "outside the box". Many doc's get stuck in parallel thought process, I know because I have suffered to my detriment. I will also acknowledge Dr. G Frank at UCLA who referred me to Dr. G. Without him I wouldn't be typing this. So, all who are looking for a doctor who is thorough, open minded and professional, also personable mindful and respectful, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Chester Griffiths. Staff is polite, smart, quick. GO
Dr. Griffiths was brought in as a consultant while I was hospitalized at UCLA. He removed an infected cyst growing adjacent to the thyroid. He treated me after his regular office hours, coming in at 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM daily until the cyst was completely drained. After discharge, I required bilateral temporal artery biopsies. When I had difficulty getting the proceedure scheduled during the Xmas holidays at UCLA, Dr. Griffiths offered to do the surgery on Xmas eve at 12:30PM(his lunch hour)I am a pharmacist, coming in contact with many physicians. Dr. Griffiths is well-trained, confident, personable, and is as caring a physician as I have met.
