Rude. Arrogant. Wouldn't trust this guy as far as I could throw him. Took my wife off all her meds and said depression was not a disease. He has some issues. I think he has the right idea about over medicating but he goes about it completely the wrong way.
Over precribed me Suboxone, 14 miligrams for 2 years. The worst doctor I have ever been to, he seemed like he was high everytime I saw him. Then called me a useless drug addict that would never stay sober. He ranted about how I would stay a junkie if I came off of Suboxone, kinda forced me to continue his cycle. Today I have been on Suboxone for 7 years, and I'm down to 4 milligrams, Yes it has taken 4 years of non stop treatment to get me down fron his D.O.O.M, Misuse of prescribing meds. Then in 2011 he got arrested for a DUI..haha
I would love to know how to get ahold of this Dr. as he seems to move around quite a bit. I went to him 5 years ago for opiate abuse and he told me there was 0% chance that I would not use again in the next year. 5 years later, I have something to tell him; That he is an idiot, and an a-hole. He should be ashamed of how he treats people. I'm sure he would love to hear patients tell him they don't trust a drug counselor that has a drug and alcohol addiction themselves, especially if he doesn't believe that anyone can ever stay clean. I will never forget what he said to me the one time I saw him, I would love to tell him how wonderful my life is now, since I decided to find a doctor that had faith in me and didn't just try to shove suboxone down my throat after I was already 2 months clean.
I went to Dr. Moss to be treated for bipolar disorder. He tried to diagnose me as an alcoholic instead. I was diagnosed with bipolar when I was 17 and am now 27. I think if I had a problem with alcohol it would have shown up by now. He also told me that my bipolar illness would "go away" if I stopped drinking. He also told me I could "get stoned" if I didn't drink for 30 days. Total moron. I work in the field and have a masters in social work. Stay away. I heard he lost his license...I am trying to verify.
Well At least you guys got to see him. On my 3rd appointment he never even bothered to show up.I live over 70 miles away and no phone call or anything he just never showed up leaving not only me but several other people standing the parking lot. I paid this crazy person money for him to tell me war stories and they were stories about people and kids getting blown up body parts everywhere. This guy scared the crap out of me. Just the look in his eye, I could tell something wasn't right about him. Needless to say I took him to court to get my money back. I proved he was not showing up to his appointments and when your in drug treatment you have to have stable treatment and a Dr. thats going to show up. I won the case and he had to send me my 450 back. Just a waist of time and effert seeing this guy all he cares about is himself
I've never met anyone in my life that made me feel so bad about myself. He always told me a i would always be a junkie and there was no hope for me. I thought that a psychiatrist is supposed to encourage and be helpful to the patients they see. But no matter what I said it was never right. I'm thankful I was able to find another doctor who is very concerned and dedicated to helping me. Dr.Moss had me on two pills a day and then out of the blue cut me down to one which truly messed me up. I contacted the Suboxone company and informed them about what was going on. I hope Dr.Moss can truly get the help he needs and quit blaming others. Stay as far away from him as possible. There's better doctors out there that really want to help you. So don't give up or get discouraged.
Avoid him like the plague. I saw him for opiod dependency, but left because i got sick of him calling me a junkie, as soon as I could save up the money I found another doctor Fred Moss is extremely rude. I would be scared to death every month when I had to see him. He will not let you speak. If you don't tell him what he wants to hear, look out! because you are going to get it. I got tired of being accused of telling lies, being belittled, him cursing at me, and him taking personal calls in the middle of an appointment that he was already late for. Please, what ever you do, find help elsewhere. He will also discuss your sensitive information (about your situation) with other patients. I know this, because he used to tell me about people that had just left or who were sitting in the waiting room. Do yourself a favor and click the liscencing information button above. Money is the bottom line with this guy, and he admitedly will tell you that he couldn't care less if you get better.
I was scheduled as the first patient of the day and he was about 45 minutes late. I got a funny feeling when he told me to go into his office instead of inviting me in. It got worse. He began the visit by telling me about himself and the way he runs his practice. This went on for about 30 minutes. I listened quietly and patiently, a little entertained by it all. He then let me speak. He asked me a question about my history and then wouldn't let me answer it. I couldn't believe it after he had rambled on and on for so long. I was evidently supposed to be able to give a one word answer and it was supposed to be the "right answer"-which was his, of course. Unbelievably condescending and rude and that was my first visit! He assumed that because I had taken meds before that I just wanted him to write me a script. I guess that makes him defensive. I agreed with a lot of what he had to say but I will find someone who is not a bully to help me. He's a real piece of work.
