I went to him for a second opinion and I never left. He agreed that I needed surgery. I stayed with him because he spent more time with me for a consult than my own doctor did. In addition, he uses the Davinci robot and I only needed 3 weeks off instead of the 4-6 I was looking at with my old doctor. He actually talks to you like a person and his office worked hard to get me a surgery time that worked for my husband and me, not just the doctor. If you need surgery, get another opinion. I am so happy I did!
I have been a long time patient of Dr Tuttelmans and can't begin to tell you how wonderful both he and his staff are! He actually treats his patients with respect, spends time with them, and listens. Looking forward to another 25 years!
Dr. Tuttleman himself is alright, I suppose.. A little on the creepy side. His manner, the way he looks at you, the fact that he acts as if he knows what's wrong. That's fine, though in my case, he didn't know and thus scheduled me for an outpatient biopsy, in a hospital that he would do.
However, he DOES NOT TAKE COMMON CO-PAYS.
Therefore, you are charged on your first time, $60, after that $30, and the outpatient biopsy would be $200.
So this guy gets his money one way or the other.
Which brings me to his staff, which you must deal with in every doctor's office.
Tuttleman refuses to deal with the payments or scheduling himself and his office "right hand" girl is the epitome of unprofessionalism, patronage, and rudeness.
She wanted me to work out some scam she set up that involved my GP running tests necessary for surgery, instead of Tuttleman. In other words, she wanted me to do her job (dirtywork) for her. When I asked her why I had to do her job, she screamed at me in front of patients and staff and the secretary (this English guy also with a siimilar attitude) told me I owed her an apology. So I apologized and still she continued to berate me until I said just to give me my records and I left.
Tuttleman, who could not have missed her shrieking if he tried, hid out in the back of the office.
I am 100% positive this is not the first time this girl had done this as she was so obviously comfortable while doing so.
Which leads me to believe that the reviews listed here and otherwise online are fake.
Google this doctor. He has too many reviews, and far and away too many A++ ones for it to be real.
Very sad. I might have put up with creepy, but never with audacity such as this bottom feeder gave me.
I met Dr Tuttleman when my insurance changed and I'm sure glad I did. I think they threw away the mold after they made him. He actually explains things in terms you can understand. My husband called him and he patiently explained everything to him also.Who does that? In the hospital, it was obvious that the staff really liked him which made me feel great as a patient. " You're Dr Tuttleman's patient? You're in good hands." He is smart, caring and funny and I'm so glad I found him
I originally met doctor Tuttlemen in the emergency room. I had terrible pain, and the doctors there called him because they wanted a gynecology expert to help them. He found my problem, and rushed me in to emergency surgery. It was a Sunday evening, and he controlled a surgery robot to take out a huge growth they found. I went to see him and his staff at his office a few days later to go over the results from the surgery and to look at my belly. I was walking the morning after surgery, left the hospital later that night, and never had any real pain. I had some discomfortable feeling in my belly, but little tiny holes he used. Anyway, when I went to his office, the results were the worst possible news. The growth they took out was a cancerous tumor. He called my primary doctor, his nurse practitioner Rich sat with me and explained everything to me again. They both gave me lots of time to answer all of my questions. They answered my sisters questions on the phone when I had he call back. He called my doctor right in the room with me, they got other doctors to help me with the cancer, and I have been cancer free for 8 years now. I had been to the emergency room previously that month, they gave me pain medication and medication because I was throwing up, then they sent me home. This may sound a little strong, but I thank Ron Tuttlemen for saving my life. My sister and daughter go to him. If you have seen other doctors, and they don't know how to help you, or can't find what is wrong with you, I can tell you first hand, I would send you to him, and fast. My daughter is going to have her first baby, he will delvier it, and I will be there. I am alive and able to be there because of him. Thank you to him and his workers who I have gotten to know, and they know my family. They are like family.
Doctor Tuttelman was my doctor for full 10 years... I loved him for being very honest and saying the things how they are! I wrote a lot of positive reviews and I meant every single one...however this is not one of them. Today after 10 years I felt like I was nobody- he made me feel horrible for wanting and fighting for second child... Said that woman wanting a child is the "worst" case!!! Aren't we most of his patients that want a child????..... That I am desperate.... That is mostly true, but if I was listening to what people think and believe is the "BEST" for me I would not have my first child!!! Very heartbroken...we have to part ways...Overall- great doctor. The staff is great also, I love Kim and his wife.
I moved to Florida several years ago and asked my then new Internist where to go when I got pregnant. He said you "must go to Dr Tuttelman. He's not fancy but he's the best." He was right! He can be "blunt" but as my Internist said " you want him on your side. " The office is clean but needs "decorating." I had a difficult pregnancy due to a chronic disease and I was watched very closely between him and the specialists he consulted with. Both he and his office worked hard to ensure I had the best outcome. I called him many times after hours and my calls were returned promptly. I had many "extra" visits due to my condition and I was always "fit in" right away. HIs staff greets you by name and you don't feel like you're just another patient. He was with me the entire time during my labor and delivery. My family liked him so much that both my mother and sister switched to him.
I was referred to this doctor and wish I would have read comments prior to seeing him. He sent us for numerous blood work (which were NOT covered by our insurance). He also sent us to a "specialist" for ultrasounds and NONE were covered by our insurance. When I told him we couldn't afford the $300.00 ultrasound visits every other week he basically told me I was going to be a horrible mother.Everything on here about his swearing (the F word is his favorite), his bedside manners, the office staff and the condition of the office is all true. Also if he gives you a copy of your health records don't lose them because he will not give you another copy. He is by far the worst doctor I have ever seen and should not be allowed to treat people the way he does! I filed a complaint against him because of how badly I was mistreated. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this man!!
Dr. Tuttelman has been my physician for over 17 years. I feel blessed to have such a competent and caring OBGYN. I had 2 very complicated pregnancies with him and I always felt as though I was in the best hands. He never rushed our visits and took all the necessary steps and precautions to make sure that my pregnancies were successful. His staff is very accomodating and return phone calls in a prompt and efficient manner. He is one of the few doctors that actually takes the time to sit down and explain what he is doing in a way that is easy for the "non-physician patient" to understand.
