Rating Feedback for Dr. Smith (1008157)

'I warn you, DO NOT go to Dr Dell Smith for rhinoplasty! He caused me to have a deviated c- shaped septum,crooked uneven tip,and very uneven nostrils.I never had these problems before the surgery. I only had a small bump on one side of the bridge of my nose that I wanted removed. After being unsatisfied with the results, I had revision surgery. Smith tried to fix the problems he created, but that too made things worse, and my nose is more unproportionate then before. One profile of my nose is very different from the other profile. I am saddened that I endured the pain of the surgeries,spent all that money, and was VERY let down. Eventually, when I have enough money, I will have to go to another doctor to get this fixed. Mind you,a very good plastic surgeon in Boise said he would pass on doing my surgery and recommended that I go to a surgeon out of state! Wow, I wish I would have researched this beforehand. This is a serious surgery so be very choosy about who you let touch your nose.'

My rhinoplasty in 2005 was a disaster. He did way more work than we discussed and caused a lot of damage. He cut below my nostrills after he put me out but he had never discussed this with me and I would never have agreed to it. His other incision was at the bottom of my columella. It is supposed to be in the middle of the columella. He did not remove the bump on the bridge of my nose as I requested. I have had an infection ever since the surgery. My face and head continue to break out. He yelled at me when I went back at 5 months and told him that I was having so much pain. He said "you shouldn't have comprimised your nose like that." If he told me that he had concerns about the surgery I would never have had it. The Board of Medicine should investigate this man.
