Escalator vs Stairs

Escalator vs Stairs . . . Which would you choose?

Stairs even though it will

Stairs even though it will hurt to go up them.

Stairs. Going up. Elevator

Stairs. Going up. Elevator going down. (I'm a klutz, and I've only ever broken bones going down the stairs, not up! lol)

I used to do it for

I used to do it for exercise. 225 flights/day, going up, 18 stairs per flight. Couldn't do it anymore.

I take the stairs sometimes

I take the stairs sometimes - but I would definitely enjoy playing chopsticks on the stairs. That would be fun.

Exercise should be made fun.

I think that slot machines should be tied to exercise bikes.

Do you see what Fisher Price has out for little kids these days?

Exercise and learning together - I think that is a great combination.

Or just mindless fun too. Do you know if Ratemds could only run if I was pedalling - do you know how slim I'd be by now?

Instead, I eat chips while on Ratemds...not good. Sticking out tongue

And do you want to hear something even worse?
After the gym, I went to the grocery store and picked up a few things today. I needed stuff to make chili...
Well, somehow I found myself in the chip isle, cuz it wasn't my regular store and I got lost, and there, lo and behold were these 25% less fat, blue menu, salt and malt vinegar chips!
I was hungry, cuz I hadn't eaten much lunch - cuz I have to lose about 3 pounds or I'm gonna have to pay for this month - (I weigh in this Saturday).
Anyways, I got the chips and I really felt like ripping them open right there and then, but I controlled myself - (It was close)
When I got to the check out - I was so thankful that I hadn't done that - cuz one of the weight watcher leaders (from another class - but she often weighs me in) was there, right behind me in line. The only thing bad that she had in her buggy was brown sugar..
All I had was the chips. Thankfully, unopened...I had planned to open them up on the drive home, but I waited till I got home. They are in the safe now...but they are not safe...I've eaten more than half the bag already.
They are really good - and 25% less fat - but - I thnk they need a little more malt vinegar...
I think I'll be paying for the class on Saturday. BURP

The worst thing I can do to

The worst thing I can do to myself is to go to the grocery store when I'm hungry!! I buy all this snack food. I really have to make myself go when I'm NOT hungry.

I see I put a typo up there. I don't think I ever ever ran up 225 flights of stairs.......well maybe once. As a rule, I ran up 125, about 3 or 4 days a week.
Not 225, 125. Ouch.............that was hard enough. Back then I was crazy though. I would then go home and run or swim laps (sometimes). I did those things for many years. Really it was overboard, I think that now. I could never do it now. I don't think I would want to.

I thought it was a rather high number but was not about to inquire.

Snack food is easy to prepare (if at all) and when one is in pain, or tired, or just burned out, it is natural to reach for it first.

I like cookies. Far toooooo much. So, I buy apples, wash and dry them and keep them in a bowl in the fridge. (Yes, I also still buy cookies but I won't tell if you don't either.)

Well - then SisterofWisher knows that I'm a genius because of how many times I inadvertently hit her broken arm whenever I was changing gears.

That was just a co-incidence. Sticking out tongue
