This is a very informative article! Smiling I found the electronic records very interestng. It is great to see how many websites aimed at informing patients of a doctor's conduct are popping up. It may not be perfect but it is something to think about. Thank you for posting this John!

That was very interesting, and all of this is happening so fast that it it hard for me to keep up with. I'm not keeping up with it.

The comments at the bottom are particularly interesting. I knew that some fascinating things were going on at Twitter, and had wondered of that might not be a possible avenue for pursuit of the Umass/Jane issue. I tried to look up Umass ER or ED, but only came up with young people rah rahing about their athletic teams. Well, I think that is only because I do not know how to use the site. I know that most hospitals (at least many) have a presence on Twitter.

I think this is a great tool, I'm just afraid that it may be co-opted by those with an agenda to push as one commenter pointed out. However, over time that should be sorted out fairly quickly.

There's so much crap pseudoscience out there that any legitimate resource is bound to be helpful.
