Dr. Calvert is a skilled and knowledgeable professional. I was really impressed by the surgery I had to undergo to get my child out safely. She explained everything to me and was very patient while answering all my questions. I read reviews before my c-section and was not concerned because most posts talk about her bedside manner. I could care less that she wasn't the most social person, but more focused on her experience as a OB doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Calvert and the staff at Olympia OBGYN.

I saw Dr. Calvert 5 days ago.I have contacted the AMA about my visit with her and the things that were said to me in my office visit.I had a partial hysterectomy done in February. Well for some reason they only took my ovaries n my tubes well since my surgery I've still been in pain NOONE has heard me (dr calvert) even after the ct scan was done saying the endometriosis has grown all over my uterus now she told me because I have been abused in my life I'm carrying that trauma in my uterine area and its just something I might have to deal with for my life cause she doesnt think a hysterectomy is the answer. I font recommend this dr to anyone I dont think she should have become a dr at all!!

The office is efficient and understanding. I found Dr Calvert to be thorough and detailed in listening to my concerns (she may run a little late because of this). My visits have been good.

I usually don't make comments on sites like these but I had such a terrible experience with her that I have t0 warn others. I was a new patient and had been recommended by a friend to see another doctor but when I called to make an appointment, the doctor who my friend recommended (and who I eventually saw, did my surgery, and who I love) did not have openings. The front desk staff kept pushing me to see her. I did, since I was in so much pain. The visit was bizarre. I understand that not everybody has good bedside manner, but she didn't know the answers to my questions, she stared at me when I asked questions with a strange look on her face so I thought she didn't hear me, and gave me zero confidence that she was competent to perform the surgery that I needed. I left and rescheduled with the doctor that I should have waited for in the first place. From what I hear from long time patients of Oly Obgyn who are friends, that place has been going down the tubes since she was hired.

She has horrible bedside manor. I told her several concerns I had about of few different issues. I was almost in tears. Her response was basically nothing. She literally seemed like she did not hear me. It was BIZARRE! She is also very rough. The vaginal exams she gives actually hurt. It does not hurt when any of the other doctors do the exam...so not sure what her problem is there either. She is so awkward and unemotional it is uncomfortable. I tried really hard to avoid having apts with her for this pregnancy, but last week the other week it was unavoidable. I was hoping she had changed or got better with some experience. Unfortunately, she has not. Her nurse was great though. Basically the only redeeming thing about the whole experience.

I am currently 35 weeks pregnant and have seen Dr. Calvert twice at Oly Obgyn. I have had a few extremely uncomfortable musculoskeletal conditions related to my pregnancy. When I have mentioned them to her, she has absolutely nothing to say about them, whereas the rest of the medical staff at Oly Obgyn has seemed to genuinely care about my pain level and offered advice for relief. Both time I met with Dr. Calvert I felt awful after the appointments.

Dr. Calvert became my doctor when my OBGYN retired. I am a cervical cancer survivor, so I have significant considerations when it comes to my reproductive health. When I first saw Dr. Calvert I had recently gotten married and she was rather pushy about my not being on birth control. I explained that I had serious side effects to everything I tried. The following year she really sold me the Mirena IUD. In spite of my serious reservations, I went along with the procedure and have had NOTHING BUT TROUBLE. I was horrified when I contacted the clinic to explain my problems and the nurse told me that they've had several patients who wanted the device removed immediately. Dr. Calvert presented a very one-sided argument for the procedure. I feel this was irresponsible. Had I known, I would not have agreed to the procedure. I am getting a second opinion.

Found her to not be compassionate whatsoever. I have a high risk pregnancy and she brushed off every concern i had as unimportant. She showed almost no emotion. I felt like i was part of a business transaction every time I had scheduled with her. My baby is at high risk for medical issues after birth due to meds I had to take. She did not act concerned or informed whatsoever. She refused to communicate with my previous drs from previous pregnancies about my history and condition. She is very young and has the attitude that she knows more than you do. I would not recomend her to other pregnant women as their dr. However, her MA Brittany is quite wonderful :)
