05/05/12 4 2 1 1 My mother who has been dealing with mental illness most of her life was admitted to the the pysch ward voluntarily. Now they are trying to keep her there under involuntarily even though she checked self in. We have been supeneonaed for this. Come to find out this is a normal practice by this hospital, & if in court we win for her to stay voluntarily they have told our lawyer she will be discharged, even though she is suicidal,& the hospital is one that is wanting the involuntary commitment . This makes no sense at all she wants to stay to get help, they say she needs to stay , but if they don't win their case they will throw a truly suicidal woman out. Which I can tell you that is just signing her death warrant! This makes no sense at all to the lawyer or me. Also according to the lawyer she has seen this happen many times. Also the doctors spend about 5 minutes a day to talk to her and they are doing nothing at all to help her. This in my opinion is bordering on neglect.
