The best indication of the hospital's fundamental flaws is the fact that they have a MRI device in a trailer outside of the hospital, which was there before they built the new addition and was there afterward: you have to go outside of the building to enter the trailer it is in.

The doctors in the ER are for the most part arrogant and disconnected frim their patients, apparently unaware or unconcerned for their patients. They administered a drug that I had an allergy to and caused devastating long-term damage. The patient representative who interviewed me in the aftermath wasn't taking any notes of my report of the incident: it became clear to me that she was posturing and trying to get me to state that I hadn't told the doctor and his clerical assistant of my allergies, though my wife and family clearly heard me tell them of my allergies to medications -- which is clearly indicated in my patient profile at Sutter-Gould Medical, which is affiliated with Memorial Hospital.

My wife developed a deadly MRSA infection following surgery at Memorial, which is clearly avoidable with adequate observance of sterile procedure..

I believe Memorial Hospital and its staff to be very dangerous. Unless a patient will die without immediate medical attention, they woujd be much better off going to San Francisco, Oakland, or Sacramento.

My wife had a total hysterectomy after she was found to have Stage 3 or 4 uterine cancer. The hospital lost all of her pathology samples: either they were mis-labeled, they never were delivered to pathology, or pathology lost them all. Without knowing how far her cancer had spread, the loss of these pathology samples was a death sentence for her.
