Worst hospital ever itsnot haunted by ghosts it's haunted by suffering, during my husband staying in the hospital many Mal practice, and super bugs and c difficile, he was begging us to remove the NJ tube from his mouth, he took it off more than 20 times each time begging for mercy, doctors forces him and put it back by force, knowing that we want to respect his wishes, during his 8 month's of mistakes after mis, agony, in the ICU, he succumbed to his death, leaving us with non stop memories of his suffering, please don't go there,

Three hours' waiting at the Emergency Department without any doctor came to see us. We were desperate and more importantly, they charge us for more than a hundred dollars' registration fee. We left without any treatment and they put all the blame on us, the poor patient.

Very bad hospital. Very image-oriented, selfish, and unprofessional staff. I witnessed the secretary screaming at a sick patient and accuses her of being rude when the patient was just trying to make her case in the most civil way. The staff seems extra defensive and they do not seem to care about patients. Many of the nurses look like chickens with their heads chopped off, just walking around with their Starbucks coffee and Cafe Vienna oatmeal cookies. When you see this happening and than there is a major delay to see a doctor with whom you scheduled an appointment 2 months in advance, you naturally begin to question: What is going on? These nurses do not look like they are working very hard! The doctors are just as bad. When you get to see one, or should I say IF you get to see one, they have knowledge of the disease yes, but they take forever to decide on your prognosis. They are not quick enough. So the administration is rude and mean, the nurses do not know their eyes from their elbows, and the doctors act like major divas, taking their time, not really caring or respecting the time of appointments. One time, I waited 5 hours to see a DR with whom I scheduled an appointment 3 months in advance. I eventually had to leave because I had other things to do that day. I was expecting a date for a surgery but I guess it is too much to expect from this hospital. So I left without telling anyone. I just left! I do not want to do my surgery here if they are this laid back and negligent. I cannot believe this hospital is considered the best hospital in Montreal! I am embarrassed when tourists come and have to use our medical services! I feel so bad for them and for Montrealers who have to deal with these incompetent medical people. I hope no one goes through I went through. I would not wish it on my worst enemy.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE at the LITHOTRIPSY Department of ROYAL VICTORIA HOSPITAL, Montreal! My Hospital Card number is 1171390. I was scheduled for "Shock Wave Lithotripsy" of my Kidney Stone, Yesterday, 10th of July 2014.Before starting the Procedure, the Technician said: "it is difficult to see your stone": THERE I WAS IN PANIC : HOW WILL SHE ACCURATELY BREAK MY STONE if she can not see it ? While my Kidney was receiving 3000 Shock Waves, I could see the Contol Room behind the glass partition: there were only the Technician and the Anesthesist, The Tehnician often disappearing or "coffee CHATTING" with other employee friends. At the end, the "Operation Report" result: "POSSIBLE FRAGMENTATION":IT IS OBVIOUS THAT they could't target my stone accurately and THEREFORE WERE UNSUCCESSFUL IN BREAKING IT! THEY DIDN'T CARE TO LOCATE AND TARGET MY STONE ACCURATELY ! NOW, I STILL HAVE THE SAME PAIN I HAD WHEN I CAME for the procedure! Ken Barbaros

Overworked... Under-staffed.....Many secretaries are more than overly rude and think that they are amusing. Many work in closet-sized offices. The technology is so antique... the phone consoles date from the 70's. Too many dossiers, too much paper not enough done on computer. A few walls could be knocked down. Not enough done webwise thus little time for information. Misplaced faxes and other personal information.

Third world hospital ... Dirty and not respecting the basic standard of a "developped country" hospital ... General philosophy of the doctors is not very human but good technician ... Trying to get rid of you as soon as possible. I was in a very delicate situation ( emergency + hospitalization ). Too late to chnage ... Not too late for you ...

Great staff at all levels. Very professional. Since I got in the Emergency Room I got explanations for all the procedures and what was going on with me. That gave me quiteness and I felt they knew exactly what to do with patients based in test results and never made decisions just in case.
