Currently in the ER waiting room. 7 hours and still waiting for our doctor to read our results that have been finished for a while. Service is extremely slow. We wouldn't have stayed if the results weren't crucial, we will think twich before coming to the ER next time... Which is bad.

We went for my 3 year old daughters dental surgery and I went in very nervous considering all the bad reviews on the net. However my experience was completely the opposite. We had an amazing nurse called Debbie who did the pre-op, she was very gentle and patient with my daughter. She explained my daughter the whole procedure and mentally prepared her. We then waited in the waiting area and a volunteer by the name of Harold Rose kept updating us with the status of the surgery and kept checking on us to see if we were ok. There is a screen in the waiting area which shows u the status of the surgery abd how many minutes have gone by and the moment the patient has been moved to the recovery room. We had a great experience as the staff are very friendly and extra helpful. Dr J Benbassat did an amazing job and post surgery follow up along with a nurse by the name of Benaz Haider

This hospital provided horrible treatment. Patient was forgotten for inpatient dialysis and eventually went 4 1/2 days without treatment when interval should have been 2 - 2 1/2 days. The family figured out the error. Do not trust what you are told. You must question things every step of the way. If you are not satisfied with treatment please complain to the CPSO. It will be hard for them to ignore multiple complaints over time from this facility.

I went in for emergency care which required me to give a blood sample. The nurse showed me to a chair which already had someone in it, asked them to leave and asked me to sit down. On the table rest of the chair was a needle which was already removed from the packaging with which the nurse proceeded to try and use on me. I was shocked and asked him if I could have a new needle, to which he replied that it was new. I told him that I would like to see it come out of the package. He changed the needle for one which I saw coming out of the packaging, but I was shocked that he would leave a needle opened at the chair with someone else sitting at it and then try to use it on the next patient, even if it was "new".

This hospital has really gone downhill. They can change their names as many times as they want, but it's the people working there that are the problem. I don't even know where to start. When I had a sinus infection, the doctor told me there was nothing wrong with me (basically trying to tell me it's all in my head). I ended up going to Sunnybrook where I was told I had sinus infection. To make things go along quicker, they asked me if I got blood work or any tests done while I was at Mackenzie Health. They were surprise the doctors there never asked to run tests and just sent me along my way. My son was misdiagnosed and sent home with just the stomach flu. Turns out he had pneumonia. Doctor we had, rambled on about how the hospital was cheap as well. All the time you can see, doctors and nurses chit chatting, took their time to do whatever. A woman sitting next to me with a machine ringing off wasn't even enough to get their attention. Are you serious???

Avoid this hospital at all costs unless you want to sacrifice a family member for a potential malpractice or D&O claim. My father had knee surgery there which resulted in near fatal blood infection. My mother was diagnosed with cancer, then told she did not have cancer, then later told she did have cancer...wasting prescious time for possible treatment. She was released and was told by her oncologist that she would need to be readmitted. She had to go through th 6 HOUR+++ wait in emergency. This is for cancer NOT a flu!!!!! While in the hospital, they forgot to assign her to a nurse so they didn't administer her insulin. A couple of days later they overdosed her in insulin - then stuffed honey down her throat. The place is a **** shop and the president and chairman of the board ought to be fired!!!!!

I had my daughter in the hospital in Feb 2013, the staff were useless, I kept asking them about breastfeeding and they kept telling me to wait for a lactation consultant but the consultant was too busy to see me. After 24 hour of trying to breastfeed another nurse told me that I did not do it correctly and I had starved my child for the whole day and I might have caused her brain damage. The day nurse was a very younge Asian girl who kept telling me to let the baby sleep the whole day if she is drowsy. I found the nurses useless, rude and completely clueless. They did not even pretend to care or help. I was discharged at 2 in the morning and went home in tears thinking what I have done to my baby.

Absolutley horrible. Make the drive to any other hospital. You will be dead before they see you in Emerg. My 3 year slipped and split his head open and we are 5 plus and waiting still to be seen by the Emerg doctor. Wtf. Can't believe this is a hospital in Canada, would expect this in some third world country. I think they keep you in Emerg as long as possible to ensure they collect enough from you on parking. Total BS

This hospital needs a serious improvement in customer service . I had an appointment at 10:30 am in the medical imaging department and had to wait for 3 hours before I had my turn. The lady with blonde hair and eyeglasses was arguing and talking over me in a rude manner when I was making sure that they got my folder with the requisition paper. The staff needs to be educated how to treat their patients with respect. They also need to work on reducing wait time and meet their appointments as per the schedule.
