I was admitted to the hospital for a week of treatment for chronic migraines. Upon arriving, blood was drawn, but not tested. I advised the nurse that my arms were historically problematic and in past treatments had been administered the medication through my neck, but they claimed no record of that was on file from my previous two hospitalizations--this seemed very odd (both were there). They unsuccessful tried to place a PICC one are then after 30-45 min, got it in the other arm (all with a migraine in sue-pain level already at a 9 or 10). I finally was given an something to relax at around 5pm (arrived at 9:30am)--no actual treatment medication til around 7pm when the shifts changed. The rest of the week was about the same, no rest, someone coming in every 2 hrs, never seen by MY physician, only strangers who were unfamiliar with my history. Terrible experience. After 8 years of only going to this hospital, I will not return.
