My experience at Ridgeview was by far my worst with the mental health care profession. I have been treated in locked facilities more times than I care to think about, and in three different states. I had the misfortune to reside in that hellhole for 6 weeks. You do feel as if you are being kept prisoner, the staff will make up lies to your family to make them believe you are just being "difficult/resistant"...until the second your insurance runs out...and then you will find yourself packing your bags in the middle of the night. I thought it was a complete racket, solely my opinion. But there was no excuse for the senseless cruelty, harassment, and complete lack of professionalism on the part of 90% of the staff. I STILL have nightmares about that place. I could go on, but I would be dancing dangerously close to the edge of that whole "legal" thing you advised about. Thanks for the forum to tell the truth about Ridgeview.

I have been hospitalized more times than I care to admit, and I have NEVER had a worse experience in my life! The staff was predominantly rude (with perhaps 4 exceptions), unprofessional, and treated the patients as though we were children or prison inmated. Furthermore, the facility was FILTHY! I sae at least 4 large roaches, and one other unidentifiable bug, in a 4 day stay. Additionally, the staff violated HIPPA continually. I know more about fellow patients' (inmates') medical treatment than I should EVER know, and it was not because they shared it with me! Also, there are too many patients assignefto effectively
