:( Click to report rating    9/5/09 1 1 1 more than 1 hour late to the appointment. Staff VERY RUDE. Dr Harris actually mentioned that being staff has kept people waiting because of patient attitudes. (Have they ever thought that people are scared and are looking for information?) Plus incompetent. Records were not forwarded to next doctor that was referred by him. Meaning a huge monetary loss for days of travel and work lost due to travel. Would not give written instructions when asked to clarify details for a stroke victim. Would not send instructions via email for the same reason. Patient ended up requesting diagnostic test results and overnight mailing to ensure that they were received. My treatments were changed when I went to another Doctor.

:) Click to report rating    5/27/08 3 3 4 Dr. Harris is a fine doctor. I did have problems though. He was controlling my migraines with pain medication. I told him on numerous occasions that my back was in misery. He always just brushed it off. I went to see another doctor for my back who ADDED more pain medication to what Dr. Harris had prescribed. The next thing I know, I receive a letter dismissing me from his practice for getting medication from another physician. He said I had a pain contract with him which I NEVER DID HAVE. Now I have no neurologist. He is very caring and concerned though and I would still recommend him. The office is VERY slow in returning phone calls though.

:) Click to report rating    4/8/08 4 4 4 I had a very positive experience with Dr. Harris. At the time I saw him, his office had just moved, so the office staff was somewhat disorganized. However, all the staff, including Dr. Harris were very personable and took my symptoms seriously. Dr. Harris was willing to explain tests and test results and discuss options with me, even when they were beyond the care he could offer. He was willing to assist with referrals and make sure that I got the care I needed. I had a very positive experience with him, and I wish my medical issues had fallen in the scope of his practice.

:( Click to report rating    12/12/07 2 1 2 Never saw Dr. Harris. Spent 1 1/2 with RPN primarily listening to HER medical/personal issues. RNP VERY quick to prescribe drugs. Poor listener. Very difficult to get phone calls returned.

:( Click to report rating *  9/3/07 2 2 1 He was given a one page report to read prior to seeing the patient by another doctor- did not read it, came into room totally unprepared. He also prescribed 2 medications one on the list of allergies to meds and one that is not prescribed at all, or ever for the condition of the visit.

:) Click to report rating    3/31/07 4 2 Dr. Harris is a very large dominate person. So know you have to be a strong patient. He was not completely upfront with test results. I believe it depends on your diagnosis. I had a diagnosis but not a specific one. He was willing to do a somewhat experimental treatments. The second one was harmful, but he did not think so (blood work, vomiting). I had to leave hospital AMA.

:) Click to report rating    2/23/07 4 4 Just the opposite...very knowledgeable and professional...I had to be in the hospital over a major holiday...Harris was great...look up his record and you will see...if you call Harris's office, you get a human being...call backs from Harris himself and his nursing staff...pretty impressive when you think about the size of his practice and his relationship w/ HSV Hospital and the neuro floor. I was referred to a different neuro doctor due to my MS (from the MS Society)...the cliche, "you do not know what you have until it is gone" holds true here...if I had never visited the other physician, I would not be able to appreciate the good patient care received from Jeffrey Harris and his staff...do not underestimate this physician...busy office, yes, but take the time to appreciate what HSV has with his experience and knowledge...we need to thank him for being here

:( Click to report rating    2/11/07 1 1 Never saw this man. Treated for 10 minutes by a PA. Doesn't know the meaning of return phone calls to a patient. Living with pain is one thing, having a specialist who doesn't give a damn about you or your condition is another.
