Positive review from: Carol Edwards. I felt very welcome and comfortable here at Kindred Hospital of Detroit. The staff is very considerate and kind and they always checke on me and made sure I was comfortable. Anything I ever asked for was given to me within a timely matter and I haven't had any concerns or issues while being here. The dietary food was good, all the dietary aids greeted me by name and they were very pleasant. This hospital is clearly in the business of operation, and there are lots of good people who work here that I have seen on a day to day bases. My stay was wonderful. I would recommend this hospital's facility to family and friends. Keep up the great work!

Positive Review from: Marcus Cox. This is my first time coming to Kindred Hospital of Detroit and I would like to say, the care I received while being here prior to being discharged was pretty good. I don't have any negative comments nor have I had any problems or concerns since being here, and everything I ever asked for was given to be in a timely matter. The CNAs and RNs were very responsible and they had lots of compassion and showed that they really cared. I was a little lonely from time to time but my Patient Advocates really helped me along in that area as they made sure that they checked on me daily, and made sure I didn't need or want anything, and they were very kind and professional. The care I received was great; I would recommend this facility to family and friends. Thanks for everything.

The staff made me feel very comfortable and every staff member I came encounter with exhibited professionalism. I have had no complaints, the staff has been great, andmy wound care nurse (Evelyn) was very pleasant and stayed on top of things as far as treating my wound. Everyone from the doctors, CNAs, LPNS/RNs, Dietary Aids all did their jobs to perfection and well. I want to thank everyone for the care I was given.

A honorary poem in recognition to the staff from: Kenya Jenkins. Here we go again, my second time around; when I was told I was coming here, I no longer felt depressed or down. Yes, its a little ways from home and of course my kids I will miss tremendously but what you have to understand is that it was the care and teamwork I received at Kindred hospital before that got me back healthy & on my feet. This is to each and everyone of the staff members who goes above and beyond what their jobs entitles them to do. I, Kenya Jenkins, wanted to let you know that not only have you been a ((HUGE)) blessing in my life, but I also appreciate all of you!!! God Bless you.

Positive review from: Kenya Jenkins. This is my second visit to Kindred Hospital of Detroit and overall, my stay here has been a great experience. The nursing staff has been very attentive to my needs and has responded quickly to any concerns that I may have had. I am currently working with PT and OT to regain my strength back in my lower extremities. With the help of the nursing staff, PT/OT, and the doctors at Kindred Hospital; I am sure that by the time of my discharge I will be back at 100% and be fully knowledgeable of how to stay that way. I would definitely recommend this hospital/rehabilitation facility to anyone seeking short or long term help not just because of it being a hospital, but because of the staffing and the great personalities. ?

Positive review from patient: Cynthia Williams. When I first came to Kindred Hospital of Detroit I was really messed up, my health conditions were pretty bad, & I thought I wasn't going to make it. However, with lots of dedication & compassion, the staff has nursed me back to a healthy quality of life. When I was told I was coming to this facility, at first, I was not a happy camper but after being here for a couple of days or so, I realized I was upset for nothing. Every CNA, every RN/LPN, every RT, every Housekeeper, every Dietary Aid, my Case Manager, my Patient Advocate & every department did their jobs top notch. The care I've received is excellent, & I will be spreading the word to everyone I know; I love this place. The staff members have really worked wonders for me, & I am very grateful. I WILL be contacting the News, as well, to give positive reviews. Kindred hospital is one of Detroit's well known secrets, but it won't be for very long. Thanks for everything.

Positive review from patient: Diana McCauley. This is my first time coming to Kindred Hospital of Detroit & I must say, if ever anything happened to where I had to be hospitalized again, Kindred would be my hospital of choice. All the doctors are phenomenal (especially my pulmonary doctor, Dr. Potts) & the staff members are very compassionate, kind, and really did a great job when it came to nursing me back to a healthy wellness. I've never had to want for anything, & everything was brought on time. When I first came to Kindred, I was unable to walk due to shortness of breath but because of the rehab staff & therapy I've received, I feel 98% better (Dena, from rehab, is great). My Housekeepers were wonderful, the food was excellent & I even received a daily newspaper from my Patient Advocate, which also helped me along with my recovery. I am very appreciative for everything that has been done for me, & I want to thank everyone for being so warm, caring, & kind during my stay.

Positive review from patient: Joann Haywood. I have been a patient at Kindred Hospital of Detroit since 6/11/14 and ever since day one the entire staff has been very professional. The staff has been caring, loving, and respecful. The dietary aids are respectful, polite and always ask me how I'm feeling, and always check to see if I need anything. My housekeeper, Marilyn, is the best housekeeper that I have had since being at Harper, St. John and Providence hospital. Marilyn gives the room a thorough cleaning and if there's any way possible and if its in your budget, please grant her with a raise. Marilyn (Case Manager) is a loving caring person; she really takes her job to heart and really cares for her patients. My Patient Advocate (Angela) is a beautiful young lady that ligthens up the room. Dr. Terry Baul is my PCP. P.S Mr. Reginald Lee, please do not forget to announce this positive review overhead prior to my departure. Thanks Kindred Detroit for everything you've done for me.
