The care that was given while being a patient was good. My patient relations representative Angela was very very nice and good, she really looked out for me and gave me a newspaper on a daily bases. There were some nice CNAs, RNs, and Housekeepers but there were also people who rough handled me, when it came to turning or having to move me around. Other than that, I am pleased and look forward to going home. -T. Horton

This is my 2nd time being a patient here and I have seen a great improvement in this hospital since when I was first admitted. The care that was given to me was very nice. Everyone from rehab, to my nurses and nurse's aids to housekeeping were very personable, kind, and nice to me. There were a few people who went above and beyond, and were very caring. I have not had any issues, there was always someone coming in to check on me throughout the day, which I really appreciated. The therapy team was great and they really were upbeat and motivational. I feel a lot better and look forward to further recovery at the rehab center I am going to. Thank you all for everything that was done for me.

This is a very accommodating and caring hospital. I had a couple of minor telephone issues and problems with my room being cold, and they made accommodations very promptly. The staff is so nice, there are a lot of great nurses and nursing aids, and they took really great care of me and always popped in to check on me every couple of hours or so, and everything was kept under control as far as pain management. Everyone was great, and I have no complaints. Thank you all, I had a great experience overall.

I am very pleased and satisfied with the care I received at Kindred hospital. There are a lot of caring, dedicated, and very nice staff members. Everyone from the nurses to the aids to the rehab staff and other departments were always on topic of things, and made sure that I was taken cared of and checked on me. There are a lot of sweet and kind people, and the wound care team did a great job. I appreciate how must people went above and beyond, thank you for taking great care of me.

I have been a patient here for about 3 months and I must admit that in the beginning there was a rough patch, however, the issue was resolved on the spot and as a result there has been a 360 turn. The nurses were beautiful and I loved them, I want to thank and commend RNs Terri, Clara and Raphael they were wonderful, and I also want to thank the CNA, Debbie Chun. My doctors were very professional and great. I thank God for putting me in a facility that has caring staff who have medical knowledge instilled within them to help me get well and back on my feet. Janet in Respiratory was very sweet and helpful. The dietary aid (I can't think of her name) was very sweet and pleasant, and she even had sandwiches brought to me for a night snack, from time to time. I loved my Case Manager, Marilyn, she was very professional and informative. My Pulmonary doctor, Dr. Potts was thorough and excellent. The girls from Physical Therapy were beautiful, very motivational, and they had me up and walking the halls, amongst doing other exercises. There are so many people to thank that I could go on and on. I am grateful for the care that was given, and glad that I am well enough to go home to further recover. If I had to rate this facility on a scale of 1-5, I'll rate this facility with a 4. Thank you, and God Bless you all!

I am writing this review on behalf of my son, David Killebrew. First and foremost, I'd like to say thank God for this hospital. I think the staff are very compassionate and caring when it comes to taking care of their patients. I see a major improvement when it comes to my son and feel that he has come a very long way since when he was first admitted. The progression has come along so well that its gotten to the point where he will no longer need his trach and it will be removed soon. I would like to give recognition to RNs Robert, Elena, LaTranya & Eunice, to CNAs Baquita and Priscilla and to the Respiratory Tech Greg, they have all been excellent and I am very thankful for the care that has been provided to my son.

Compared to the services I received at Select, Kindred Hospital is by far the best hospital to receive attentive care in and is way better than the care I received at Select. The staff was very attentive to me and checked on me frequently. The doctors were very respectful and courteous to me and listened to me. The RNs and CNAs stayed on top of things as far as making sure I didn't need or want anything; housekeepers were kind and thoroughly kept my room clean; the food in dietary was pretty good and the wound care team was great. Wound care definitely stayed on top of taking care of my foot. The CCO was even very personable and professional and she came by ever so often to make sure everything was okay, which let me know that the staff members are very dedicated and compassionate when it comes to providing the best patient care and customer service. If I had to rate this facility on a scale from 1-10, I would give it a 10. I was even able to make the staff laugh with my sense of humor. I will really miss each and everyone of the people I came encounter with. I have had no complaints since I have been here. Kindred Hospital is the best and I would definitely recommend this facility to family and friends, if ever they became hospitalized. Thanks for everything; I have much gratitude and appreciation.

Patient: Antonio Crawford. The care I received while being an inpatient at Kindred hospital was wonderful. All the nurses and cenas were very personable with me, had positive attitudes, and were very friendly and kind. Everything was always under control and I haven't had any problems to report. The rehab team was excellent, they came along, harnessed me up and had me walking and also doing other exercises that helped to strengthen. The rehab team is great, however, my favorite person was Lauren. She seemed to be a very upbeat person, motivational, fun and just a sweet person. I often joked around and told her that we're going to get married, once I get discharged. I even formed great bonds with my room mates before they were discharged, they talked to me and always made sure I was okay. The respiratory team was great, my pain levels were kept under control, and everything was done within a timely matter and to my satisfaction. The only con I have is that I am not a major fan of the food here but I learned to tolerate it. Other than that, the care and services were excellent, I am grateful for everyone and thankful for the care I received.

Patient: Harold Williams. In regards to my hospital stay at Kindred Hospital on a scale of 1-10, Kindred receives a 9. The care I received was great. There are a lot of caring and dedicated staff members here, and I really appreciated them all. The rehab staff members were very nice and kept me motivated, and the sessions made me feel as if I really accomplished something in the end. The wound care team (Charles/Evelyn) took excellent care of my feet as far as the wounds goes; they never missed a beat, thoroughly cleansed the areas, and carefully bandaged the dressings. I am grateful for the care I received. Thanks for everything.

Positive review from: Charles Cooper. The care I received from the wound care team as well as the medical staff was great. The medical team at Kindred Hospital of Detroit are so caring, friendly, compassionate and they are very well mannered professionals. The RNs and CNAs made sure they rounded on me frequently and made sure I was comfortable; whenever I put my call light on the staff was very quick to respond to whatever it was that I needed. The doctors were very attentive and understanding, and they took the time to listen to me. The wound care team was awesome, they made sure they thoroughly cleansed and took care of my foot making sure that the dressing was bandaged well. Housekeeping stayed on top of things as far as my room being kept cleaned. My pain level was always kept under control. The dietary aids had very warm personas and the food was good, for it to be hospital food. I am very pleased with the care I received. The medical attention I received has really helped me physically and emotionally. My Case Manager was a very nice, kind hearted, professional, and she was that take care of business woman. I give 2 thumbs up to the care I received. You all are lifesavers, and I am grateful for everything.
