This hospital is the worst especially if you are only English speaking. Kept coming to me talking French when I told them over and over and over I don't speak French. Very disrespectful!! You should be served in the official language you chose!!!! And the medical records should be in the same language that you request to be served in. If I could give negative stars I would!!!!!

Went to Montfort waited 20 minutes and then was taken into emergency, I did not think it was warranted, but it was, I ended up staying at the hospiral for 8 days, private room and all, had great service from nurse, physician and all. Will recommend this hospital, they are very courteous and very professional. Montfort is the most busies emergency department from all the hospital. They are bilingual and several speak more than two language, cannot say enough about this hospital.

An excellent hospital! Volonteers are very helpful, staff is very professional and the delays are so acceptable, nowhere close to Quebec.

At the waiting area, another psychiatrist or nurse approached me and told me that he was a tall black man & so I waited. I saw a psychiatrist named Bilon at the Psychiatry floor because my doctor sent me for medical conditions. I did not understand a word he was saying and he got me more worried for him than myself. He was shaking on the spot, in his office. Also, I didn't like my first visit because he made me wait 45 minutes when my appointment was at 11. I was arrived at 10:25 and waited till 12 to see him. After the meeting, I left with the wrong date. He wrote the wrong date for the next meeting on his card and looked pretty out of it to me. Overall, I didn't like my experience and hope that my next visit will be much better so I can find solutions for myself. What's the point of going if I have to say, ''What?'' all the time?

For the first several weeks after my grandmother was admitted the experience was excellent. The doctors treated her well and were working hard to find out exactly what was the cause of her injury. However, things quickly went south when she was moved to longer-term facilities. She was moved without telling her, or my family who are taking charge of the situation, why. Since then the service has been deplorable. The nursing staff seems far more interested in gabbing with each other than helping their patients. They ignore requests and make frequent mistakes. My grandmother also requires some physio each day to regain her ability to walk and yet it happens infrequently. Every day is a guess as to whether or not she will get the opportunity to walk. The hospital doesn't seem bad overall, but there are more than a few incompetent, uncaring employees.

Love this hospital! We've been here for multiple knee surgeries and 2 babies (both with midwives). Had a long wait time the first time we were in emerg, but the hospital was still under construction, so maybe that was the reason. Scheduled surgeries, ultrasounds, and tests have always been fast and excellent, easy-to-follow instructions provided. First pregnancy and delivery was a little complicated and the hospital staff worked excellently with the midwife. I was required to stay longer with the 2nd delivery and the nurses seemed to avoid me like the plague. Still better service than any other hospital in Ottawa. And...I don't speak French.
