My wife recently knee surgery and the surgery went fine, but when she got out of the operation room, the failed to give her the proper medications to treat her pain. The attending physician and the surgeon who performed the surgery ignored the fact that we told them my wife takes 350mg Codeine Contin everyday for pain, and is allowed to take up to 8 Percocet in a day if it's necessary. My wife had arthritis so severe in her knees that she ended up in a wheelchair. You would think that a doctor would understand should be an expectation of extra pain medicine that is given ontop of the regular narcotic pain medicine that a pain patient takes everyday. My wife rolled out of recovery in horrendous pain. She was crying and begging for pain medicine and they ignored us. It turns out they got the entire order of medications wrong, aside from the antibiotics! and they refused to give my wife her daily Codeine Contin and the Percocet she is allotted by her family doctor. They gave her 10mg of morphine every 6 hours, and for a person who just has a knee replacement surgery, who is dependent on opiates/opioids, that is NOT even close to being enough to cover the pain they feel, and anyone knows 10mg of morphine

If your expecting a child I advise you choose a different hospital. My wife was in labour and we had to wait 2 1/2 hours until we got a delivery room and nothing was prepared myself and a nurse almost delivered our son by ourselves because they didn't believe the nurse that my wife's cervix went from 2cm to 10cm in under an hour. They only showed up at the last minute right before my son was born, and this is only the beginning. We where miss informed about just about everything and put a lot of stress on all of us and made things more difficult than they should have. despite telling them we were English all our paper work was in French and out my wife's marital status as single all over it. Also the intern they put down was not the Doctor that was actually there. it was a horrible experience and we are never going back to that hospital. there's to much to say I cant possibly go over everything, I really recommend you chose a different hospital if you want decent service. Plus they don't believe in circumcision and I don't think that decision should be forced I think the staff is lazy and care more for their day at work than the well being of other's.

For palliative care Montfort has to be the worst place to bring a love one to die. My brother in law stayed there 2 months and he had to change rooms 5 times; the rooms were filthy especially the bathrooms; the nursing staff were very difficult to understand language wise and seemed not to care or be understanding of elderly patients. In spite of my expertise in advocating for elderly people I was unable to get even decent care for my brother in law.

This hospital is the worst especially if you are only English speaking. Kept coming to me talking French when I told them over and over and over I don't speak French. Very disrespectful!! You should be served in the official language you chose!!!! And the medical records should be in the same language that you request to be served in. If I could give negative stars I would!!!!!
