worst dr ever. not going to bother with bashing him, all the negative reviews are correct. best to look out of town for a better endo who may actually care and not be so ignorant to serious medical issues. Disgusted!!

Worst dr experience ever, and that is saying a lot. Pig-headed, and refused to help me. He knows he is the only endcrinologist in town, can get away with murder, and so he takes advantage. What I deal with is nowhere in the realm of normal for a man. Nowhere. And never mind his rude, rude, rude "manners". He should loose his license.

This guy has a heart of stone. No sympathy for a severely ill elderly patient. Instead of comfort he made patient upset with his bullyish attitude and ridiculous accusations. Refused to get any extra help or direction. Had to do this all on our own. Lied to other doctors about this patient. The other doctors were disgusted by this. Terminates this patient's care without proper procedures and it takes an angry phone call from another doctor to resume patient's care. What a sad way for someones life to end knowing how they were treated. Shame on everyone who allows this pompous guy to carry on this way.

Worst doctor I have EVER seen.... went to this guy for three years and he never did a thing but put me on pills, never ordered more testing... he was ALWAYS late, rude and his staff were extremely rude.. I feel like this man is just biding his time waiting to retire... every time I seen him, retirement is what he talked about. This guy would not even listen to a word I said. I feel sorry for all of Northwest Ontario, as this man is the only endocrinologist. I have spoken with about 10 people who needed endocrinologists and they all left for either Toronto or Winnipeg. Now I know why. I am very thankful to finally have proper care with Dr Malik. Finally, someone who is actually treating me. I am finally diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and will receive treatment within 9 days of seeing DR Malik. I am terribly sorry if you must see this doctor.

I WENT TO SEE DR. ABU-BAKARE WITH MY WIFE. SHE IS DIABETIC ON INSULIN. THE DOCTOR SAID HE COULD NOT HELP HER. THIS MAN IS SO ARROGANT AND IGNORANT. HE THINKS THE WORLD EVOLVES AROUND HIM.HE EXPECTS THE HOSPITAL, PHARMACIES AND ALL OTHER DOCTORS TO EVOLVE AROUND HIM TOO.IN THIS REAL WORLD IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN. HE SHOULD LEARN TO WORK TOGETHER WITH EVERYONE INSTEAD OF HIS BIG EGOTISTICAL HEAD.ALSO LEARN SOME MANNERS HOW TO TREAT HIS PATIENTS AND TALK TO PEOPLE.

I have decided that I need to rate this man, who, in my opinion, aught to lose his rights to practice here in our city. I have reported him to the College of Physicians, the Medical Association, the Government, Ministry of Health, the Administration at the Port Arthur Health Center and others. I urge others to do the same. I say this because I have yet to see this man at an appointment where I was not lectured.. not spoken to, not councelled but lectured to. He has not listened to a word I have said but instead wants to make rude and insulting remarks. I finally gave him a piece of my mind at our last appointment and that is what forced me to launch an official complaint against him When I spoke to him about my weight not reducing he rudely said "Well whose fault is that" He wanted me to take my blood sugars before each meal and then 2 hours after and when I was trying to explain to him about my meter and that, in fact, I had done that, he just got more rude. Lack of space forces me to not submit more.

I am a male over 40 who was having problems with low testosterone levels that caused weight gain and low energy levels for many years. Dr.Bakare and his staff were always professional and were very punctual and did all the test that were required for my case. He explained everything very much in detail and was very understanding and listened and answered all my questions. He put me on Andro gel 1.0% testosterone therapy replacement 7 months ago. I lost over 35 pounds and got back into shape and have so much energy and drive today, it's like I am 25 again and I owe it all to Dr. Bakare. I saw him the other day and when he noticed all the weight I lost he congradulated me and was very happy for me. I have to see him in 6 months for a follow up. Of course because he is muslim he is going to treat women differently then men, best thing to do is bring your husband in with you and try to keep your questions exact and professional. You are not there to make a new friend or have verbal pitty!

It is difficult to understand the negative comments below. Dr. Abu-Bakare is the most valuable of any physician I've ever encountered. He is kind, knowledgeable and thorough. He has been there to treat me for health concerns beyond my original diagnosis and he really listens. I don't know what I would have done without him.

I am stunned to read some of the past remarks. During my first appointment, Dr. Abu-Bakare instantly put me at ease, and demonstrated professionalims, knowledge, politeness, thoroughness, empathy and a sense a humour that further eased my apprehension. He quickly arranged for tests and followup. I left my appointment feeling very reassured, and confident that Dr. Abu-Bakare would quickly get to the bottom of my condition. He was also excellent with the medical student who was working with him, which shows his commitment to training new doctors. I am extremely grateful that my oncologist referred me to Dr. Abu-Bakare.
