Dr Huntley is a very competent and attentive doctor. He listens to patients and offers modern-day treatments. Unfortunately, his horrible office staff is dragging down his practice and reputation. The office staff at HPS is possibly the worst anyone will ever encounter. No messages are returned, direct calls during office hours go straight to voicemail, paperwork is misplaced, and workers at front desk are usually rude. There is also tremendous staff turnover -- literally (no joking) there are new people working there every 3-4 weeks, making it impossible to create or maintain any continuity of care. *** Dr Huntley: Your office staff has been bad last couple of years. No signs of improvement we patients can see. You used to have awesome staff, Dr Huntley ... what happened?!?! You have listened to patients before, so please listen to us now when we say that your office staff needs a major overhaul, and your credibility is suffering because of it.

We presume the doc is fantastic, but the image of the office is being ruined by the front office receptionist, analea. Calls are never answered and messages are not returned. Analea loves to put patients on hold for periods exceeding 15 minutes (we had to hang up out of frustration). Analea appears to do so especially when English may not be the primary language or the caller has medicare. Not sure. Asked my son for help. Same result. You may as well just add an answering machine and save yourself some payroll. I would not have expected this from a Scripps affiliated facility.

This place is a mess. We formulated a plan on my first visit. There was an unexpected result which deviated from this. I called every week for 10 weeks at least to find out how to proceed. Never heard back from them.

Dr Huntley has been my physician for over 3 years. I had 2 failed back surgeries and he has helped manage my pain with not only decreasing my medications, but using injections. Even though he has had some staff leave, his office is always quick to respond. Lacey, his new office manager, is so personable compared to the other two. I thank Dr. Huntley for being the first pain doc to help me in San Diego.

I have chronic back pain that did not get better after 3 back surgeries. I have seen many of the pain doctors in San Diego. Dr. Huntley and his staff are significantly better. They actually care and provide treatments to make my life better.

The entire staff is so friendly and I didn't have to wait long to see the doctor!
