11/26/12 | 3 | 1 | 2 | 5 | Worst beside manner ever! Of course because it's TV and it's scripted, he is very knowledgeable, so he gets high scores for that. His staff gets only a 3 because they let him get away with too much. On time? I don't know if he is...was kind of hard to rate that. He's not every helpful because he seems to hate his patients. I once knew a doc like that in real life. I rated him on here too. I see that others feel the same way about him. Dr. House is make believe, but in real life there are some doctors like that and they shouldn't even have a medical license because in real life, pompus fools mess up, they don't always get it right like on House. | Respond |

9/2/12 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | Symptoms of fatigue 1st appeared when I bought my 1st house. 3 mths later saw Dr. Marcus Welby who diagnosed me with labyrinthitis after I kept loosing my balance (loved the flashlight on his head). After filling me with anti-psychotic pills I ended up in the ER where I was poked and prodded like a piece of cattle. When they finally figured it was a neuro problem, enter Dr. House. He looked me straight in the eyes and said... Walk you strange person... So I did. After 2 feet I fell like a **** and he looked at his team of fellows and said; "what's her problem?" They threw out words I couldn't repeat and he said NO! One word, 2 letters! A blank look all around. MS you idiots!!! And my love affair with him continues to this day! 7/28/12 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | Dr. House was born in Canada and speaks English. He's the greatest. The only minor problem is that I have to go to the USA to see him. I like the fact that I can pronounce his name, that he isn't mostly deaf or blind, that he doesn't put my medical information on a laptop, that he remembers to get me at least a date for critical appointments within 30 days, and that his staff can find copies of my last lab tests. This doctor is incredible! | Respond |

Dr. House and I met back in 2010, in the ER at a very prominent hospital. I had been taken in via ambulance. House noticed me shaking and jumped right in, dismissing the usual ER MD. on duty. House had me run through a battery of tests and could not find out what was going on with me and my shaking. He questioned me about the rapping noises, that I claimed to be driving me nuts. I told him, that all I can hear in my head is "Rap" - "Rap" - "Rap" and it was causing me to really get paranoid ! Finally; House went away and came back with the solution to my problem. House had in his hand, a box of "wrapping" paper !

Several years ago, I was in the ER with constant occipital lobe pain made worse by using the muscles for swallowing. No sore throat or cold/flu-like symptoms, although my voice sounded like I had a cold. The ER dr examined my throat... which was excruciating (my pain level was a 15 on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the worst). He then had 2 other drs do the same and then proceeded to look again. They either thought I had the best looking throat they'd ever seen or didn't have a clue. Since I thought the later, I asked if Dr. House was in the building. Apparently that was the wrong thing to say since I woke up in my hospital room at 1:30 am alone and don't remember anything after my comment. True story. Since then I've struggled with many unresolved health issues and wish I had a Dr House to resolve them. I would rather have a doc with an attitude and a brilliant mind than one with a great bedside manner and no clue of how to treat me. I never did find out what was wrong with me.

2/20/12 | 2 | 1 | 5 | 5 | Dr H is a mean, rude, inappropriate jerk, but he is also a brilliant doctor. I was seen in the ER with right buttock pain. Dr H noticed a tic in my left eye & ordered an MRI during which I almost died from an allergy to the contrast. I was given a shot of antihistamine, but then it was noticed the dumb nurse had used the wrong needle. I now had to undergo painful anti-rabies shots which left me with a lot of pain in my upper leg. Dr H, who would not listen to his interns, diagnosed osteomyelitis. Just as they were about to amputate my leg, his interns unplugged the saw, saying they had discovered a cracked chair in my kitchen. They had broken into my place to look for mold, bed bugs & lethal chemicals. I was immediately flipped over and Dr H found the cause of my pain, a tiny sliver right where I said the pain was. Thank God we have caring & dedicated doctors like Dr H on this plant. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant! | Respond |

I came in for a routine colonoscopy and before I know it I found myself at the mercy of this Dr. House who claimed that I had some kind of colorectal cancer. Then, after I had a seizure in the MRI, House's staff said I had some kind of brain disease. Then House almost killed me with a test that went wrong. Finally it turned out that I has some kind of blood disorder that was easily treatable. Worst of all, I found out later that this House had some of his staff break into my home--which is a mess--with the lame excuse that they were looking for some kind of environmental factor in my disease. I will of course sue the hospital for everything it has.

Although I did walk out of the hospital alive, thanks to Dr. House, my stay in the hospital was a harrowing experience! His staff discussed all sorts of inappropriate things in my presence; I was forced by circumstance to admit to some past history that I really would rather not have shared, and to top it all off, I had a seizure while undergoing an MRI! I cannot wait to get back to my regular physician, Dr. Hank Lawson, up in the Hamptons.

Amazing. He actually figured out what was wrong. However, this was after he had treated me with chemo, antibiotics and immunosuppressants (yes, I know these don't usually go together), subjected me to a spinal tap, and a colonoscopy, and surgery to extract a cancer which wasn't there, and a transplant. Lacking the stamina of TV, actors, I nearly died from all this before he found the answer. He apparently became a doc so he could be a **** but people would still have to respect him. (True story from very early episode.) Bad idea. We have enough of those. Spoiler alert: my own experience is via Tv

Emergency room visit for broken ankle. I know it was broken. I HEARD it and it. Got assigned Dr. House. He read on my chart that I have Sjogren's Syndrome, so he decided I was one of the one in a billion cases that actually HAVE lupus, even though I told him I test negative for it. Had his staff run tests for lupus, schleroderma, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. before even bothering to x-ray my ankle, which, by the way WAS broken. I think he was mad because I self diagnosed. And, by the way, what kind of hospital wastes M.D. running tests that should be done my techs? When all the tests came back negative, except the X-ray, Dr. House, now acting stoned, for some reason, made a pass at me, then passed me off to a P.A. when I told him to get the hell off of me.

9/8/11 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | I'm going to see Dr.House, to see if he can figure out what is wrong with me and why I have so much anxiety. I had a very confusing childhood, As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladdin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with 7 men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac Man ran around to digital music while… eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies that always had the munchies. I've struggled my whole life trying to make sense of things. Hopefully House can shed some light on it and have a pill I can take. | Respond |

7/19/11 | 1 | 4 | 1 | 1 | WARNING, STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR! Recently I became very sick; vomiting, diarrhea, the works. I finally decided to go to the emergency room. Big mistake. They assigned Dr. House to me. He started running all sorts of painful, embarrassing tests on me without my permission. I didn't realize it at the time, but he also had his underlings break into my house to search for clues as to why I was sick. I found out about that because one of his people came across a take-out box from a local restaurant. When they ran lab tests on the food they discovered that it had salmonella in it. Food poisoning! That's all it was, not gastric cancer, or intestinal obstruction, or any of the other hundreds of scenarios Dr. House had come up with. I just got the bill from the hospital. $590,723,460 for food poisioning! Stay away from this guy! Expensive, and the worst bedside manner! | Respond |

4/30/11 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | Dr. House was intrigued enough with my symptom of Severe Depression; to take my case! He was baffled that a hot blonde with striking green eyes could be sad about anything! He sent his staff away so he could personally fix me! After a very thorough and invasive exam (which involved both of us getting naked) we watched soaps together in the doctor's lounge and he gave me some Vicadin to chew on. Before I knew it, we both were smiling and having a very good time - until Dr. Cuddy came in and ruined it all. With that, Dr. House sent me home with a weekly Vicadin prescription. I have special orders to stop by his place with every refill and share it with him. I have also replaced the questionable ladies who show up at his door - and now he just examins me prior to our fun-filled Vicadin romp! Ahh the life!! Last night, he played the piano non-stop until I fell asleep on his coach. What can I say? He cured my depression and as long as we have Vicadin, the world is a much better place! :) | Respond |

Good house staff are suspicious zombies, when I arrived they had a patient in a straight jacket, were searching for hidden contraband. When they found nothing they explained to the patient that this was for his own good since Dr House had ordered it.I was about to flee when house ordered his staff to catch me and make me keep my appointmentfor my own good.He ordered blood tests, then forced me into a home made nuclear radiation fasting tank. After 5 days he let me out and told me this would make my blood stronger.I explained to him that I was already very healthy and had only come to get a flushot.Hetold me he saw evidence in the blood tests that I was about to develop confidentitis and knowlitis and this treatment has saved me from that.Dr house saved me from myself!Further while I was being treated he ordered his staff to break into my house, force my whole family in for treatment because these are contagious. He saved us all!.The best doctor around.I heard morphine makes him zealous &mean

If he isn't stoned, unsatisfied or bored, he's the BEST. Unfortunately his private life often interferes with his attention to detail and he must almost kill the patient with treatments before he discovers the actual problem and cures it. I don't think I would go to him unless I was on the "verge of death" anyway. His preliminary treatments must seriously affect the patient in later life.

Dr. House is an excellent diagnostician. Although he has what appears to be a gruff bedside manner, in actuality, he is trying to convince his patients that his diagnosis is correct and is necessary to save a life. If needed, he will go head to head with his boss to convince her that the test he needs to diagnose his patient is the only way, even if it seems to be dangerous or unnecessary. He has also risked his license and career to do what is best for his patients. A doctor like this is a once in a lifetime and anyone who needs his help is very fortunate to have Dr. House in their corner. His job starts where other doctor's jobs leaves off.

I was finally diagnosed by Dr. House. Amazing! He is one of the few LYME-literate doctors in this country. A country where LYME disease is running rampant! It is an epidemic larger than AIDS! Now I know why I wasn't diagnosed. There is NO reliable test for LYME disease. Not everyone gets the bull's eye rash. Ticks carry more than LYME bacteria. Ticks carry microorganisms that cause other diseases. Thank God Dr. House is affiliated with ILADS and not the IDSA. If he followed the guidelines that the IDSA concocted in 2006 I'd be DEAD! 11/16/09 | 3 | 1 | 5 | 5 | Dr.House is the greatest doctor alive! He sure beats all the other ones I've seen. I was having sweats, fever, abdominal pain on left side, bloating, and urinating 30xs per day. First doc did the usual OB/GYN stuff and found nothing except blood in urine. Second doc said it must be a female problem. Third doc said he believes it is a pinched nerve. Fourth doc prescribed Prozac. When I told him I'm not depressed he said,"you don't understand when we cannot find anything wrong after several tests we prescribe Prozac". Fifth doc said the fourth doc was right and told me to start chugging Malox! I finally met House based on his reputation...and what a rep he has! He did a full myrid of tests: fecal, urine, colonoscopy, X-rays, CAT scan, and another urine test. VOILA! House found the problem...a urinary tract infection that could've been resolved before costly tests. True cost to cure the problem $.80 for 10 pills. Here's the problem. I have an autoimmune disease, it seems. Well, House ran the usual gamut, beginning with something mundane, never desiring to hunt for zebra. So he diagnosed me with smoker's cough. He's brilliant! But I haven't smoked in 30 years, so onto something else. He had my house searched and came up with an obscure mold. This was promising. However, after treating me for aspergillosis, I was still coughing. He is known for proposing, and then immediately dropping, a diagnosis of sarcoidosis for all patients suspected of having autoimmune disease but confusing the brilliant doctors by lying. The problem is, I did turn out to have sarcoidosis, but it wasn't house who diagnosed me. So I'm suing House and giving the money to the lovely Brit who not only listened to me but went above and beyond. Besides which, when he finally admitted that the Brit was right, he said I'd be in remission in 19 months, but I've had this danged disease for nearly 20 years!

This is not the right thing to do--it's more likely to cause extra damage than prevent it--and that is a well-established fact in the medical community. Don't the writers even look this sh*t up? I was put under the care of Dr. House who subjected me to unnecessary exams while he knew that there was a cockroach in my ear. I attempted to reach a legal settlement for the HORRIBLE treatment I received, but due to the fact that Dr. House didn't break any standard procedures and the Princeton Plainsboro legal staff is absolutely ruthless, I got nothing. I will never step foot in the PP hospital again. F*ck House. | Respond |

6/4/09 | 5 | 2 | 2 | 5 | Dr. House seems to have an invisible friend. That disturbs me. Perhaps it's related to the many pills he takes during consults. Furthermore, he discusses private issues in his soap-opera-like life in front of patients and everyone else. He diagnosed my uncle (who looks a lot like Karl Reiner) with pancreatic cancer, when it was actually chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction, which scared the S**T out of the old man...he almost had a stroke!! If he had, we'd all be rich. Can't complain myself, though. Despite his insanity, I was diagnosed with a curable tropical disease based on the fact that Dr. House noticed I winked at a candy-striper. I owe my life to that nutcase. Oh, and I have a major, throbbing crush on him. | Respond |

5/5/09 | 5 | 3 | 5 | 5 | If I had House as my Doctor I wouldn't be here checking out yet another specialist to make sure he isn't going to make a rookie mistake. Besides, I like House, I would appreciate a doctor to finally tell me everything and tell me the truth about it. I need a doctor to tell me what to do and not let me get away with not doing it just because I get tired of fighting. And being easy on the eyes doesn't hurt either! So until I get sick enough to go to the east coast and meet the real House, the TV House will have to do. | Respond |

When I asked him how he knew that the 20 other doctors were wrong, he simply replied "It's Never Lupus". | Respond |

4/29/09 | 4 | 1 | 5 | 5 | Worst bedside manner due to being extremely arrogant, self-pitying, and self loathing. Very bitter and HATES actually talking to his patients because "everybbody lies". Commits felonies by directing staff to break into patients' houses for toxin and drug searches. Actually enjoys berating patients (expecially during his required clinic duty) as well as his own fellows. Constantly harrasses his boss and his fellows with **** and **** remarks. Thinks all patients are idiots. Even enjoys tormenting his own best friend most of the time. That all being said the man is brilliant and one of the best diagnosticians in the country. He also may be a bitter, lonely, self-loathing, bitter man, but he IS sexy as hell. In fact, I'd tolerate him in a heartbeat because what I need right now is a doctor who can actually figure out what is wrong with me. I'd put up with his crappy attitude as he's smart and easy on the eyes. Yummy. | Respond |

Dr. House reminded me of my wife. Not because she's a skinny guy but because she has a bum leg too. I just wish he'd stop looking at her bum. However when my doctor sent me to him for talking to myself he successfully figured out that I was merely seeing multiples of everyone and couldn't figure out who was who. His diagnosis helped me be able to grab things the first time around. I can now tie my shoes in the morning before the sun sets. Under the arrogant exterior, second only to my own doctor, I found a great man who I could successfully argue great guitarists with...although he doesn't take losing well. But that could be a great thing when your life is the prize. Overall, if the doctors in Cuba can't save you then just camp out in this guy's office. He'll treat you eventually just to get rid of you. That or hire you.

Yes, he's obnoxious, self-centered, arrogant, and dismissive if he's challenged. However, bedside manner aside, if you needed a top-notch diagnostician to deal with your illness, who cares about his personality attributes. Getting cured is all I really care about! Having said that... I guess many of you haven't seen some of BC's top specialists these days have you? With some of them, you'd swear they're personality clones of Dr. Gregory House!

3/23/09 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | He is one of the worst doctors I've ever seen! His medical knowledge may appear vast, but Dr. House in real life he would be an ineffective doctor because he is so dismissive, disrespectful and rude to his patients. Sure it looks good on TV to see how he cures everything, but that isn't reality. Thank God this is only a TV show. I usually love medical shows, but can't stand this show. I tried many times to watch it, but it always is an unpleasant experience. He treats his patients as if they are their for his amuzement. I sure hope there aren't any real doctors practicing that have his ethics and drug problem. What happened to the consept informed concent and self determination? It is a sad state of affairs if this is what people think is a good doctor. I have met a few excellent doctors that are the whole package... a good human being and a knowledable doctor. And while he has no bedside manner, he doesn't exactly need one, since his billiance and intelligence will diagnose me, treat me and get me on the right path. Dr. Gregory House has no bedside manner, rude to his staff but when it comes down to it he is the best doctor around and if I had the chance to have him as my doctor I would. He has softened over the years and is becoming more likeable to his patience perhaps of his own drug dependency. If all the previous doctors I have had were like him I would not be going through every thing I am now. More doctors should be trained by him and also in the end have his intelligence and his dry sense of humor. If he ever wants to move I have the perfect place for him to work and change the hospitals and staff around.

2/24/09 | 2 | 1 | 4 | 5 | I just came home from a two-week stay in the hospital. My initial complaint in the ER was pain in the inside elbow. Next thing I know I awake in intensive care with a tube in my nose, 5 IVs and a foley bag that Dr. House bumped with his cane. I developed this funny rash on the opposite elbow. Then I get a call from my husband wondering why two people in lab coats were trying to break in our house to look for anything suspicious. He tearfully let them take one our koi from the backyard pond for any clues to my illness. I fall asleep to the words,"this may sting a little bit." After I awake I see Dr. House looming over me inspecting the inside of my eyelids. With a big grin he looks at his staff and orders broad spectrum antibiotics, IVG, Interferon, steroids and Kool-aid (for himself). I ask through my grogginess, "What did you find?" Dr. House replied, "You have Koipondimylitis. You've been using too short a fish net to clean out your pond." And he left. And I got better. | Respond |

I went into ER with lower back pain. After several tests it was decided I had a brain tumour. After surgery, chemo, more surgery, I was cured. 6 months later, I stubbed my toe and tore the nail off. When I was in ER getting my toe looked at, I fainted. When I woke up, House told me I had another brain tumour. 2 years later, fell off my bike and broke my arm. House ran more tests and discovered I didnt' fall off my bike because I swerved to miss a cat, it was because I had a brain tumour. After an MRI, lumbar puncture, leeches and a colonoscopy, my tumour was cured. 3 years later I was delivering flowers to a nurse and House realized I was doing it because I had a brain tumour. After 5 brain surgeries and numerous procedures, you can shine a flashlight in my left ear and it shines out of my right ear. If you stick it my mouth, light shines out of my eyeball like lazer beams. I hope I never get the flu, because I don't have enough brains left for another tumour.

They say that staying in the hospital is stressful and that hospitals are the worst place for patients. It was certainly true for me. My husband took me to the emergency room, then I was admitted upstairs. The doctors said they knew something was wrong, but they promised to help me get better. I've always thought one doctor or maybe one and a specialist was enough, but I was being tended to by a team! First I was sent off for a CT scan for my abdomen and told my spleen had to be removed. Then I passed out one time, was sent for an MRI with contrast, started feeling hot, and passed out again. I woke up in my room after being comatose and found myself bald with a drainage tube. What did that have to do with my spleen? No one seemed to be certain. Dr. House seemed to be the head honcho. He was rude and offensive to the point that I wanted to smack him up the side of the head, but he usually stood on the other side of the room. I'm glad we have insurance though. Homelessness sucks!

One of his staff told me the antibiotic caused a fungal infection and gave me an Rx to get rid of it. My 2nd xray showed a "shadow" where the pneumonia was supposed to be, so the staff ordered a 3rd xray. Oh yes, and I also developed a 3rd infection so am now on 2nd round of antibiotics, probiotics to offset those, meds to offset the 1st antibiotics, and 3rd xray was questionable so the staff sent me for a CTscan. Are you keeping up?! Meanwhile, House was nowhere to be found. I suspect he was in the nurse's lounge watching x-rated medical soaps on TV while playing with his Game Boy. But I'm sure he's making a list of my symptoms, and the TV doctors will suddenly say something triggering House's latent gray matter. Though the man is clearly a very intelligent and competant doctor, his attitude and bedside manner leave much to be desired. Fortunately, I had little direct interaction with Dr House, and instead dealt with his team who were very polite, especially that beautiful girl he calls "13" or whatever. It took a few different tests and procedures to narrow down my particular problem, but I walked out of there healthy and alive. Dr House's team was great, the doc himself though accused me of being a liar and an alcoholic repeatedly, and even went so far as to say I had to be an alcoholic otherwise I would have gotten laid more recently then a few months. Despite this however, I would recommend this Doctor in situations where no one else can seem to help, despite his attitude. Just, deal with him with caution and a thick skin.
