I think this man should retire for good. He is "borderline-dangerous" no pun intended. I sought an opinion from him, and it was not worth the paper it was written on. It reeked of his ignorance on my specific issues (for which there is ample literature he never heard of). It displayed his failing memory or doubtful listening skills (report contained interpreted data despite documentation left with him). A real chauvinist too. He claimed multiple visits would help me!!! He was proud to mention his association with the infamous Dr. E. Cameron who had visited him in Egypt. Dr. Cameron conducted CIA-paid potentially deadly experiments on patients in Montreal's Allan Memorial Institute. I should have run when I heard that! I truly believe Dr. Saad can be harmful to some patients. The Med Asso he belongs to has deep pockets and a bias towards its members. I hope they one day come across someone who has the funds and the courage to denounce his suspicious performance.

As much as I did not like his bedside manner or his beliefs....Dr.Saad knows his stuff....10 years ago he properly diagnosed me and referred me to an adolescent psych for further consultation...So to his credit, he tried to do me some justice.

I had one and only appointment with Dr. Saad a couple of weeks ago. The first thing he said to me was "you're 59?". Uh no. I'm 39. And most people think I'm in my 20's. 59???? Things went downhill from there. In the end he decided that 100% of my problem was my weight. He told me to start walking 1/2 hour each day and to eat according to the diet he dictated to me. While I admit that my weight it certainly a factor in my life it is not 100% of the problem. My problem is that I'm so depressed I cannot get out of bed. So he wants me to walk 1/2 hour a day??? He just didn't seem to get where I was coming from or what my problems were. I did not make another appointment and I'm waiting to see someone else.

Dr Saad only wanted to analyze dreams, then tell you they reveal the truth. His approach involved ancient egyptian beliefs. Refusal to abide with or embrace the occult and my 'psychic awakening' as he called it appeared to frustrate him. He told me I had a secret and better tell him what the secret was, and appeared angry when I said I don't know any secret. There isn't enough character space to say what I'd really like to say about him and I don't need to be accused of making anything up. Who'd believe it anyways? He made me worse. I went for help and all I got was Hocus Pocus that intensified my fears and the trauma that sent me there in the first place. My problem was to report strange things my husband had said to me, and that I couldn't cope with it and it/he had terorised me. Saad's mission was to tell me it was REAl, my husband's words were real and I either start accepting it or suffer with what will begin as physical pains. What kind of doctor tell you your fears are real?

I am currently seeing Dr Saad and think he is a wonderful psychiatrist. To me he seems very open minded. He has not pushed medications on me and is open to alternative treatments. I have not noticed him fall asleep. But then, I don't pay much attention to details. Ultimately I am finding him to be quite helpful.

I had the misfortune of being a patient to Dr. Saad of depression issues. I was in my late teens and all this "Dr." wanted to do was lable me and pumped me full of meds that were totally not the right treatment. He did nod off and was rude to my parents.

Was referred to Dr. Saad by my family physician, as I hadn't seen a psychiatrist since moving from Alberta 11 years earlier. I needed a mental health professional to guide me, as I had battled agoraphobia, social phobia, GAD and depression for 20 years. Upon meeting Dr. Saad, I felt intimidated and uneasy. He wasn't compassionate, patient, or approachable like other pyschiatrists I had seen. Knowing that a doctor-patient relationship has to be a comfortable one, I cancelled my next appointment. Fortunately, I now see Dr. Pieter Strauss in Abbotsford. What a total contrast from Dr. Saad.

I can't believe he's back. If this is what Abbotsford has to offer for psychiatry, run very fast in the opposite direction. We dealt with him as a family and it was an awful experience and we chose to deal with our situation ourselves. Thank goodness things have worked out SO FAR!!.

Yes! Poor Dr. Saad did nod off during all of my sessions with him. I had him several years ago, actually when I first saw him it was in 1995. He has seasonal affective disorder (SAD)which is why he has the special florescent light in his office. And as for his nodding off, he also has narcolepsy, so I wouldn't hold that against him. He does remember who you are and what you where talking about though and is a very intelligent man. A fair Psychiatrist, but there are much better ones out there.

I was referred to Dr. Saad as a young girl (age 11; I am now 19) for treatment regarding severe bipolar disorder. Apparently I did little to peak Dr. Saad's interest, as he dozed off on me on numerous occasions. What little input he did have seemed irrelevant, and often times I believe he was confusing me with another patient. His advice for my parents regarding my inclination to self mutilate (often times requiring extensive stitching) was to let me "get it out of my system". Myself and my family found our experience with Dr. Saad wholly unsatisfying, and I would not recommend him to anyone for any reason.

I also was treated by Dr. Saad many years ago for depression and I too was very unhappy with his lack of treatment. During the 3 sessions that I had with him he dosed off many times on me as I was telling my story and so I just sat there and waited for him to wake up. It was an terrible experience for me. Thank God my GP recommended someone else or I do not where I would be today.

My 12 year old daughter was referred to Dr. Saad for depression. Well, needless to say he lived up to his name. While my daughter was telling her story, Dr. Saad appeared to fall asleep on several occasions. His eyes closed and his head drooped. He never asked her father and I to come in for consultation regarding our daughers depression. We spent all of 2 months with him and we all agreed this was a huge mistake. By the way she is now 21 and working in the medical profession and doing fabulous!
