He took complete care of me from the moment I walked in the door for my consultation. I saw a good amount of doctors before I met Dr Batra and what a difference I saw! He was the first Dr. that actually listened to what I wanted and didn't try to make me look top heavy. He is an honest, caring person, I would recommend him to anyone I know! | Respond |

Dr. Batra is a wonderful plastic surgeon. He did my reconstruction after breast cancer/mastectomy, and I am very pleased with the results. He is kind, patient, caring, gentle, and puts the patient at ease on the first visit. He is also very knowledgeable about plastic surgery and medications, and keeps on top of everything during patient's recovery from surgery. I have recommended him to everyone that I know and consider him to be the best plastic surgeon in California.

At the time of my breast reduction, we had an executive level benefit that would have covered this procedure. Not only did he not take enough out on BOTH sides (yes enough on one side) to qualify for the procedure, but now I have lopsided breasts with my nipples placed so badly that I can not find bras OR swim suits. HUGE Disappointment, btw, he is a partner in the surgical facility he uses. This is not the doctor for you if you need breast reduction. | See Responses |

I loved Dr. Batra from my very first office visit. I was impressed with his before and after photos, his knowledge and his experience. He set me at ease immediately and I subsequently selected him as my surgeon. He did a wonderful job on my breast augmentation! He helped me pick the perfect size for my build and my lifestyle - and didn't try to talk me into going bigger than I was comfortable with (like some other surgeons). They turned perfectly - very natural looking and I am in perfect proportion now. I couldn't be happier! Surgery was smooth, recovery was far better than I expected and I plan on recommending Dr. Batra to my friends. :)

I can only think of positive things to say about Coastal Plastic Surgeons. From the friendliness of the ENTIRE staff, (Dr. Batra, the receptionists, the anesthesiologists, cont...) the cleanliness of the building, their easily accessible locations, the reasonable costs/pricing, and the genuine concern/honesty from Dr. Batra himself, I could not be more impressed. I give Coastal Plastic Surgeons, Dr. Batra, and his staff a ten out of ten rating. I suggest Dr. Batra to any of my friends that are interested in cosmetic surgery. I trust Coastal with the professional work they perform and wouldn't second guess revisiting them if I desire more work in the future.

12/20/11 | 5 | 5 | 2 | 3 | Dr. Batra and his staff were all things nice.Dr. Batra came off like someone that truly cares about you. I had a tummy tuck done. Results were wonderful until my body began to reject my sutures. The sutures were literally popping out of my belly button and surgery area. Dr. Batra would have me come in and remove them. Told me it was not a big deal. Every so many months one would pop out. Dr. Batra was more than happy to have me come back. They seemed to stop. I went on to have a breast reduction.It went well. My tummy tuck problems came back. This time I had a walnut sized lump in the center below my breasts. It opened and was deep. I had to pack it daily with guaze. I was scared. Was my body trying to fight off some crazy infection inside. Dr. Batra now seemed more annoyed with me. As if I was wasting his time. My last visit, he said and I quote- "I don't know what to do for you anymore. You are no longer profitable for me." He never saw me again. Another surgeon fixed the problem. | See Responses |

I searched for a compasioate, doctor who produced great results. Dr. Batra is nothing less than wonderful. His staff is professional, kind and caring. He is the most down to earth, pleasant, doctor you will ever meet who produces fabulous results. I went to him for the removal of some moles on my face that required some fairly complex surgery. I got a beautiful result. I would come from anywhere in the country to see this doctor!

I had read through the postings on Dr. Batra before my breast surgery and I kept noticing something about the negative reviews: they were always like *wildly* negative in the face of a lot of 4 and 5-smiley ratings. For my part, I concluded that the people who wrote those bad things were either disgruntled former employees, competitors, or maybe oddball surgical outcomes. For example, these few all seem to say that they needed revision surgery from another doctor afterward and they claim he didn't explain something to their satisfaction, and so they give all 1s (ones). This includes their staff perceptions and punctuality. Whatever! These people just seem to want to hurt his reputation. When I saw that I went to see him for myself, as my surgical need was also a revision (post surgical adhesions from a reconstruction) and my old surgeon had retired. In all I was really happy with the outcome, nice and natural. All was explained fine. His staff were a bit slow, but I trust Dr. Batra.

After my 3 consultations I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Batra. I was a little hesitant with the other doctors, however, once I met with Dr. Batra I felt at ease and very comfortable with getting my nose done with him. I told all my friends and family that I found the doctor, without getting the price. Not only was the price great, but my nose is PERFECT!!! I had a deveated septem and hump. Dr. Batra, did a lot of work to my nose, however, it looks so natural. Although, I did the operation in the beginning of August, I am still swollen. I still am happy with the results and the fast healing process. I recommend him to anyone looking for plastic surgery. He is a perfectionist and not to mention his staff is very courteous and out going! Thank you Maryam (Patient Coordinator) and Dr. Batra I am so happy with the results. | Respond |

Dr. Batra left me scarred and deformed, and didn't care about me after my procedure. I had to see another plastic surgeon to correct his bad work.

He was so humble, easy to talk with, and honest about what I needed done and what I did not. He went over the procedures with me, showed me pictures of patients who had already had the procedure I wanted and even had a patient call me to go over her experience with him. I had gone to several other plastic surgeons for consultations, but none of them were even close to being as impressive as Dr. Batra. He went above and beyond his call of duty and I have a result I am very happy with. I still go see him every few months for botox and he is always a pleasure to see. This was my gift to me as I was going to be 50 in May. I had a wonderful experience from the beginning to the end and I am so glad it did it. 6/26/09 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | I visited 12 other plastic surgeons in the San Diego area - all recommended. 8 did NOT want to do the complete lower body lift, especially the thighs as they claimed this was extremely difficult. Dr. Batra said he could help and had done this procedure before. He was also highly recommended by my primary care doctor. I experienced very, very little pain (twinges if I moved in certain ways) after the surgery and none during the recovery period. Dr. Batra answered all my questions, was concerned with my recovery (called me personally several times), and even gave me his cell phone number in case I had concerns in between post op appointments. Dr. Batra will be doing my arm lift, breast lift, and face lift later this year. I would definitely recommend this doctor. | Respond |

I was able to see every aspect of his practice. His technique was exact, he strived for perfection with complicated cases, and took the time required to achieve the highest level of excellence during each and every procedure. Then, during his follow up visits he would address each and every concern the patient had, and took time to answer any questions. Dr. Batra is on the cutting edge of is field, and is actually pioneering many aspects in plastic surgery, such as care and procedures in the post-bariatric patient. His methods and example will be incorporated and used by many surgeons around the country including myself. All in all, Dr. M.K. About 5 years ago I was shot in my home and rushed to scripps hospital. The bullets had destroyed my face and left hand. When it came time for the trauma surgeon to find a plastic surgeon to reconstruct my face and hand he told me I would be looked after by "the best". Dr Batra not only reconstructed my face and hand, but also my life. He is the kindest, most real and down to earth doctor you will ever meet. I live in Hawaii and was told by the plastic surgeons here that I was fortunate to have the top plastic surgeon in california attend to me. I was surprised to know that my plastic surgeon in Hawaii knew of Dr Batra and he commented was "I did some research on him and you had the absolute best." 5 years later I returned to San Diego to have my facelift and Tummy tuck by Dr Batra and realized that despite my near fatal accident that I would have not come to meet such an incredibly talented and caring human being. Dr Batra is my saviour ! He charged me intially to perform and very difficult breast reconstuction after I had seen several other doctors. My surgery was very complicated and he performed a miracle. The first surgery was just a baby step towards my now recovery. Since he needed to continue with several more surgeries over the past 2 years, he opted to just take my insurances payment, since I still had more repair work. He was so willing to see me through this difficult time and never 'gave up His bedside manner is gentle , couteous, professional and above all knowledgeable. He did countless research on my case in preparation as well as consulting other doctors in his field to provde the utmost of maximum care and results. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Batra for making me feel like a whole person once more. I highly reccommend him for cosmetic surgeries , but mostly for those who need reconstruction. As it was time to replace them, I realized it was going to be a complicated surgery and decided to go with a new doctor, who had expertise in breast re-dos. When I first met with him, he was realistic and very positive about what he could do: I needed a breast lift, pocket revision and fuller implants. He listened to my concerns and needs, and gave his expert opinion on what he could realistically achieve: fuller, perkier, but natural looking breasts. In the end, he accomplished it all. I am so pleased with the results. His office and surgical staff were excellent and thorough, as was the follow-up care. Overall, Dr. Munish Batra is a kind and caring person, and an amazingly talented surgeon. He put me and my husband at ease. I had a full lower body lift, breast lift and augmentation in early December. The results are unbelievable. While my scars are still healing, the overall result of the surgery amazes me on a daily basis. My stomach is flat with defined abs. My scars are thin and I can see that they will fade to fine white lines. From my first consultation through all of my follow up appointments I have genuinely appreciated Dr. Batra's warm and personable style. His staff are uniformly friendly and competent. The surgical staff, hospital transport staff and hospital of Dr. Batra's selection were all of the finest quality and provided kind, comforting service. I could not possibly recommend a surgeon more. I interviewed 5 surgeons prior to selecting Dr. Batra for my complex surgery. Now, 3 months following the procedures I'm fully confident I made the best selection.

The day before my surgery, I had my annual physical exam and told my MD that I was about to have cosmetic surgery. She was very relieved when I told her who I had chosen for my plastic surgeon, as she said that he was one of the best. Since I value her opinion, this was wonderful to hear. This was the first and only surgery I have ever had, so I had no idea what recovery would be like, especially with so many areas involved. Dr. Batra did a fabulous job, and my recovery was incredibly quick. I have a very physical occupation, and I felt ready to go back to work within days (although I followed doctors orders and let myself heal thoroughly first). I live in San Diego and she recommended Dr. Batra, who is not only a board-certified plastic surgeon, but obviously is very skilled at what he does since he had lots of great before and after pictures to show me. He did my facelift and it is fabulous. It is better than any of my friends' facelifts and it is far superior to my first facelift twenty years ago done by someone else. I had a Face lift and Brow lift done. The results looked great for a month but when the swelling went away the jowls were back and brows came back down. I didn't ask for a revision and one wasn't offered. I plan to see a top doc for a revision of both procedures. Definitely research the doc before you go for surgery. I didn't do that.
