My Golden outcome: saddle nose, pollybeak, pinched and collapsed cartilage (for example, where he "broke the dome" the cartilage bunched up according to the surgeon who revised my nose), drooping tip, deviated septum, inverted-v, and breathing difficulties, among other issues. It took a nearly nine-hour revision surgery by another surgeon to correct the issues with my nose: 9 hours. Golden became IRATE when I told him there were issues with my nose. He subsequently had his attorney send me a letter threatening my privacy. Prospective patients are welcome to contact me through this forum. Update: I received a message from another Golden sufferer who was told by an experienced revision surgeon that the damage to her nose by Golden is permanent. What a shame.

Dr. Golden performed surgery on my nose as well as eyes Nov 20th, 2009. As of date I am very pleased with the results and am extremely happy that I had Dr. Golden perform the surgery. I was very reluctant at first, and now know I made the right choice. My father is a practicing MD for 36 (who also has his JD) and is happy very happy with my results as of date. Thanks again to Dr. Golden and his staff for your superb knowledge, compassion, and help!!

Dr. Golden did my septoplaty about six weeks ago. I am a board certified anesthesiologist and I had the opportunity to observe Dr. Golden do a procedure under conscious sedation prior to my deciding to have the surgery. For about 2 weeks after surgery, Dr. Golden saw me frequently for follow ups (including evenings and a weekend) which was very helpful. The office staff were also very helpful which was very much appreciated. I am still recovering from the procedure but have had very little pain post op.

Dr.Golden performed multiple procedures on me (septorhinoplasty,lower blepharoplasty and laser resurfacing) I am 6 months post-op and could not be more delighted with the results. I consulted 5 other surgeons before choosing Dr. Golden and I have no regrets in doing so. His work is AMAZING!!! I have already referred several friends and would have no hesitation in returning for any future procedures myself. I love my new look, it's natural yet youthful. Dr.Golden,MD has far exceeded his reputation as a professional and extremely talented Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgeon. As I am quite knowledgeable in the operating room and have had innumerable accounts in participating in surgical operations, I had chosen his specialty and his hands to proceed on my own procedures. With in the last year I have had a wonderful outcome with an Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty as well as a Septorhinoplasty. I can honestly say that my experience from consult to the exiting appointment had been professional and fruitful. As I am a professional in the health care field I would highly recommend Dr. Golden and his surgical team. I trust him and his experience, as soon he will be operating on my daughter and with out any hesitation or doubt a beautiful result will be presented.

Dr. Golden was my surgeon 3 years ago for a blepharolplasty. I was extremely pleased with my results, but being a perfectionist, he requested to do a slight revision a few months after my original procedure. I was impressed that he took his work seriously and wanted me to have the best possible outcome. That is why I did not hesitate to return to him for two more procedures. Recently, Dr. Golden performed a Septorhinoplasty and a Mini Rhytidectomy. Love my new nose and face! If you are seeking a surgeon who is knowledgeable, skilled and confident in his abilities to do the job, then Dr. Golden is your man. Personally, I also preferred that he is specifically a facial plastic surgeon and therefore highly trained for the procedures I was seeking. Further, I did not have difficulty communicating with Dr. Golden or any of his fantastic staff. In fact, I found them all rather humorous. Love you Mo and Lucile! I would recommend Dr. Golden to anyone seeking a qualified facial plastic surgeon.

Dr. Golden is fantastic!!!!! My nose is beautiful, natural looking, and most importantly, I am able to breathe!!!! I was never able to breathe out of my right nostril, that is, until Dr. Golden got a hold of my schnoz!!! Five days after surgery, I awoke in the middle of the night with a bad nose bleed, this occurred while my boyfriend was away on business. I phoned Dr. Golden at 3 a.m., and to my surprise, he picked me up, took me to his office, and took care of the situation. He gave me the impression that he is very caring and attentive to his patients needs. I am HIGHLY recommending him to ALL of my friends and family!!!! I really can't thank him, and his staff enough for the absolutely WONDERFUL work they do!!!

Dr. Golden is a wonderful plastic surgeon! I had my nose done a few years ago and he made it look very natural. People can't even tell that I've had it done. I trust his work so much that I constantly refer family and friends to him. As a matter of fact, my sister went to him last week. She has had very little discomfort or bruising. He really knows his stuff and it shows in his work! If you are looking for the best, call Dr. Golden!

I'm a physician who has had breathing issues due to a broken nose since childhood. I went to a prominent plastic surgeon for a consultation and he said, "You are too complicated for me. I'm going to send you to Dr. Golden because he does outstanding work and is the one people go to after botched surgeries." Dr. Golden gave me a concise consultation about the nature of my nose and what he could do for me. Everything he told me came to fruition. Dr. Golden did a fantastic job on my nose. It is not only straight, but I continue to breath much better than I ever have in my life. I have been recommending him to friends and will continue to do so.

I am a surgeon from Cleveland and currently one-year postoperative from rhinoplasty surgery from Dr. Golden. I researched many physicians prior to seeking his care. He spent a great deal of time with me answering all questions and explaining his surgical approach and surgical expectations during the initial consultation and all post-operative appointments. He exceeded all of my expectations from both an aesthetic and functional point of view. I have a natural looking appearance, breath better than ever before, and most importantly feel great. I also commend his office and staff for their compassion, accommodations, care, and professionalism. I had my nose done June 11th, 2009 by Dr. Golden. I couldn't be more happy with my results. He was very thourough as to what to expect before and after the surgery. My nose is very natural looking, beautiful. I am a Registered Nurse and went to 3 different plastic surgeons before choosing Dr. Golden. I am glad I chose him. Meeting Dr.Golden has changed my life (not my appearance) hes an amazing surgeon with talent. he performed a rhinoplasty on me recently, and inhanced my beauty with a natural look.....the best part is that no one can tell i had plastic surgery done, i visited 4 plastic surgeons before i met Dr.Golden and the 1st time i met him i new he was going to be the one performing surgery on me i felt so confident with him and he has a great personality with an awesome sense of humor with all that said his staff was soooo helpful and the nicest ladies you could deal with, i am soo happy i decided to go with him i have already referred all my firiends to him and cant wait for their results, another reason why i chose dr.Golden was because he operated on 5 of my my friends and they all look great! I got a rhinoplasty from Dr. Golden. After 9 years of searching for a doctor who wouldn't give me a cookie cutter nose, did not charge an arm and leg and was kind, i came across doctor Golden. Him and his staff were very nice, took the time to answer all of my questions, and made me feel very comfortable the day of surgery as i was alone. The hardest surgical procedures are the ones where we want them to look natural, like you didn't really have any work done but only made your nose a better version of what it is. It took me forever to find a doctor that would even do the surgery, most said that was not their "forte",Dr. Golden did an excellent job, and was very detailed. the people closest to me who see me every day had NO idea i did anything. and yet i can see a HUGE difference. There was no pain during recovery and i was back to work in 10 days. He fixed the hump on my nose and my big tip. I am SOOO happy with the results! Dr. Golden is a great doctor with an excellent staff.

I recently had Rhytidectomy along with Blepharoplasty,performed by Dr.Golden. I'm very very pleased with my results!Dr.Golden is truely a superior physician!I had visited three other area plastic surgeon's prior to consulting with Dr.Golden.From my very first consult with Dr.Golden,Iknew that he would be the physian to perform my surgery. He is confident,knowledgeable and explained step by step on what too expect during and after surgery. What I admired about Dr. Golden is, he greets you in the the waiting area, brings you to the room, answers all your questions and concerns.He takes your blood pressure, does blood work and starts I.V's himself. Dr.Golden and I agreed on mini-facelift and I left surgery with a full-facelift. Because, he is so concerned with giving his patient's the best results. A true artist. The next day after surgery Dr.Golden came"to my home"(in a snow-storm)for the F/U visit.He checked on how I was feeling and changed my dressings. Wow!He even makes house calls!

Dr. Golden has NO BEDSIDE MANNER WHAT SO EVER! For whatever reason he is gets much recognition for doing fabulous noses but there are far better and more professional doctors in Michigan and surrounding areas. I had a rhinoplasty performed by Dr. Golden and he not only yelled at me several times within a week of surgery for simply asking questions but he also continued to yell at my husband as well. With all due respect he understands his skill but def. does not follow through on all his promises. His nursing staff is fabulous, extremely calm and caring! He is lucky to have them. If you cater to his crude comments and disrespect (mind you these only come after paying in full for your rhino) then your fine. I would just like to say I have several friends and family members who have had great results from other surgeons as well as honest answers and a patient to doctor respect!

Recently, Dr. Golden performed a rhinoplasty on me. I came to him with a nose that was completely occluded on one side.I could not breathe for a decade. The nose also had a curvature to one side. For the first time in 10 yrs. and two nose jobs (performed by other surgeons), I can breathe.
I never felt compelled to post anything to a website before. However, after reading the post dated 12/24, I felt it would be a diservice to patients in search of help and a dishonor to Dr. Golden - not to offer a testimonial.
From what I can tell from that post dated 12/24, this person wasn't even an actual patient. It's actually a mark of his integrity to refuse to do work on a person where he doesn't think he can help- a rare instance indeed!
In sum, I couldn't be happier with Dr. Golden, including his deeply caring staff. Each and every patient is given meticulous care and attention. I now understand why he is considered one of the world's premier surgeons.

Dr Golden changed my life forever. My nose used to make me hate to have my picture taken and always felt it distracted from my face. It had a bump and was thick with no definition. Through the whole process Dr Golden and his staff made me feel so comfortable. Besides some swelling and mild bruising I had no pain throughout the whole thing. I LOVE my new nose I know nobody could give me a more perfect nose. He knew exactly what he was going to do and I could not imagine how good it would come out. I recently got a compliment from somebody who said they wish they had my nose. He is the best in what he does and cannot thank him enough.

Dr. Golden is an excellent surgeon. A previous surgeon said there was not much that could be done to change my prominent nose. Dr. Golden, however, proved him wrong. He has a great vision of the ideal aesthetic and follows through in his promise to deliver. The office staff was wonderful, supportive and very punctual. On a different note, I concede that Dr. Golden can come across as abrasive and condescending, and after the initial consultation, rather hurried. Nevertheless, he was extremely apologetic when I called him out on his demeanor and he followed his verbal apology up with a written one, which meant a lot. He gives lots of hugs, which minimizes the harshness of his bedside manner. His office assistant, Lisa, is incredibly soothing and nurturing and she truly made me feel taken care of. Admittedly, the comfort she provided gave me the extra confidence I needed to proceed with surgery.

I came to see this doctor for a simple problem. He pointed out all these problems I did not come to see him for. He boasted how patients fly all over the world to see him because he is the greatest. He said no one could fix my problems, but him. Then he said I had too many problems= to go to a more experienced doctor. He made my simle problem into something more complex. I felt good about myself, but he made me feel like I look like a freak.

I recently had a septo-rhinoplasty with Dr. Golden and I'm very satisfied with my results. He is a very talented surgeon who produces great, natural-looking results. Also, his after care is exceptional. He makes himself available throughout the healing process and will gladly perform any necessary touch-ups/revisions of his work free of charge. He seems to genuinely care about his patients' satisfaction with their noses. I recommend him for anyone with nose issues.

Dr. Golden did a septorhinoplasy on me and for the first time in years I smile when I look in the mirror. I had a perfect male nose before my surgery, but I'm a female. He took down my dorsal hump and shortened my tip. I have a "Pretty nose" now. Dr. Golden is confident in his abilities and has a very friendly staff. His office is like no other. You actually get to meet his patients. What better way to see his work! I would recommend him to anyone who feels they would like facial plastic surgery. It is still my nose, but better!

I've had great results! My nose has transformed amazingly. Dr. Golden and his staff are extremely helpful and unlike any stiff, cold office I've been to. Took the flight from New York to Troy for my primary, and right now at about 11 days post up, I can say I made the right decision. Although I am still far from the final results, and I do have some swelling, I can say the amount of care and expertise I received from Dr Golden was second to none. At the end of the day he just wants to help patients with their nose and make them happy. I am quite puzzled with the recent negative reviews of him, but I guess you just have to take it with a grain of salt. Heck even Micheal Jordan didnt' make all his shots or won all his games, and had always has critics, but yet he is considered the greatest bball player. For my nose, I can say he did an outstanding job - he built up my bridge with my septum, broke the bone to narrow my nose,thinned my tip and did weir excision on my nostrils. For those thinking about Dr Golden, all I can say is do your research, look at some before and after pics his patients, and be comfortable w your decision. Good luck!

Dr Golden did my mothers nose 20 years ago. She looks fantastic and natural! Recently he did mine, I look fantastic and natural! It really made a tremendous difference in my life and i have no regrets. Hopefully he'll still be around for my daughter. I wouldn't let anyone else do it. He's fantastic!

I am extremely pleased with Dr. Golden's work. I had a septo-rhinoplasty and my lower eyelids done about 6 weeks ago. Of course the healing part was miserable for about 3 days b/c you're swollen & bruised...but I had ZERO pain, which was unbelievable. I was out & about 3 weeks after surgery with no more bruising & swelling. Noone notices that I had work done, they just ask if I've lost weight or changed my makeup...all end in compliments! I'm so thankful for Dr. Golden's magical touch & the changes that he has made in my life. I did heavy research in the Michigan area on surgeons & found that the experiences from Dr. Golden are the best & most authentic. P.S. His staff in the office & nurses were some of the most loving staff that I have ever encountered in a surgeons office! And Dr. G even came in on a national holiday just to see me for my 3 day follow-up...that kind of service I've never received from a physician. 100% recommended!

T. A. Golden has no compassion for his patients. When I had a problem during and after the surgery, his comment was "Why doe everything have to happen to me?" I was the one in pain! His follow-up is terrible and I considered the decision to use him as my doctor as one of the worst in my life.

It is rare to find someone in a profession that is also their passion but it's easy to see Dr. Golden LOVES what he does.From my first consultation I knew he was the PS for me because of his confidence.Within 2 minutes of seeing me he had a vision for my prominent, asymmetrical, nose with a tip that needed work.I was so impressed with his enthusiasm.To top it off, he encourages you to network with his other patients during office visits.This is unheard of since PSs are so eager to throw out the confidentiality card so they can hide their lukewarm reputation and results.Needless to say, I am so impressed by Dr. Golden and his wonderful staff.They have made this a very memorable experience for me.Dr. Golden provides unparalleled results and top it off he really cares.He called me the night of surgery just to make sure I was okay.As a 21 year old I am ecstatic to have the nose I always wanted and would be more than happy to answer any ?s or talk about my experience:kookiecrumb@hotmail.com

If you need just facial work this is the Dr to see. Masterful, works like "Picasso" I did not even know I was there, have not had to take 1 pain pill. His knowledge of the face is brilliance. Will not give a time frame, works till the (painting) job is complete! I felt like I was the only 1 he was doing. He was not watching the quanity just the quality. You will be lucky if he even excepts the job. Pure "genius"!

Has the worst bed side manner i have ever seen.Does not talk to you as a person. If you catch him in a good mood he seems fine.If he is not ...Please watch out...I called him scitso to his face! With that being said he is really good at what he does...I just can not take him!

Dr.Golden performed a facelift, upper eyelids, and laser resurfacing for me. The day after surgery, he came to my house to check on me, something that's unheard of nowadays. I really appreciated it, it allowed me to rest at home. I am very pleased with my results. Dr. Golden is an experienced surgeon and his staff is always pleasant and helpful. I go for checkups every few weeks, so he's the kind of doctor that follows through with his patients, not leaving them to fend for themselves. I would highly recommend him to anyone that is interested in having any procedure done pertaining to the face,which is his specialty.

Dr. Theodore Alan Golden is wonderful! I recently had an upper and lower Blepharoplasty. I am so please with his work. I feel like a new person. Both nurses, Maureen and Lucile made me feel so welcome and treated me with TLC. I also was amazed that I felt no pain during and after the procedure. And when it was time to take out my stitches, well, let's just say... They do a great job! I would highly recommend Dr. Golden and his staff.

I was reimbursed 70% as Dr. Golden wasn't in my network. I was very impressed with Dr. Golden and I love my nose. I have had 6 previous surgeries and he did a septo-rhino revision. I am about 3 month PO and still swollen on the tip but he nailed it for me. One of the reason I went to him was because he uses consious sedation instead of general anesthesia. I woke up alert and not sick like I usually get. BTW I came all the way from New Orleans La. to have surgery with him. Because of Hurricane Katrina our city lost a lot of good Plastic Surgeons. I highly recommend Dr. T Golden.

I recently had a septo-rhinoplasty from Dr. Golden. I found it difficult and uncomfortable to talk to him because his comes off as being condecending and treats you as if your questions are ridiculous.During my surgery the operating technician starting arguing and swearing with the medical resident. You can only imagine how uncomfortable that might make someone feel as they are being operated on. The front desk receptionist refused to tell the nurse that my husband was asking about me, even though the nurse had reassured my very nervous husband that he only had to ask at the desk and she would come out to talk with him. At my 1 week follow up the office staff were again arguing and at each others throats. As far as my nose, it is still somewhat crooked, and it really has very little shape/sculpture to it. I can breath better out of it and the hump is gone, but that is about it.

Dr. Golden only does facial procedures and I used him for my primary male rhinoplasty about a year ago and he nailed it. He "nose" a man's nose. I've also seen a bunch of his women's noses, which are quite different from his men's noses, and are nothing are nothing short of spectacular. He has been putting pics up on his web site which seem representative of his work that I've seen. His site is drtheodoreagolden.com. I would highly recommend him for primaries, but I know he does a lot of revisions of other docs work as well so if this is what you are looking for he is worth a consult (they were free when I went). There are some patients of his on rhinoplasty4you.com, a rhino message board that is pretty active. For noses, I don't think you can go wrong with him.

The best facial plastic surgeon around! Myself and several others are patients and we all look great. After seeing many other doctors work I am still impressed and grateful. Dr. Golden is extremely knowledgeable. He is very personable -but straight to the point when it comes to discussing medical information. He only does facial surgery, it is his specialty.
