3/22/13 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 | Dr. Maresky is kind and compassionate and very thorough. He never belittles parents or makes them feel silly for asking even the most inane question. He has always made me feel reassured that I was doing the right thing, and if/when I wasn't provided gentle suggestions for improvement. When my daughter had a fever run for more than 6 days, he didn't want to take any chances and booked her for an x-ray to rule out pneumonia. When she was first born and was borderline jaundice, he sent us to sick kids for a test on a Sunday because he didn't think we should wait until Monday. It is this type of conscientiousness that gives me complete trust in his abilities as a doctor. I've also heard he never turns away a patient, which is amazing for a doctor with so many patients in the city. I actually chose Dr. Maresky when my daughter was born based on these reviews, and I'm glad I did. I thought it was about time I wrote my own. | Respond |

He's the doctor for all my neices and nephews, my family has been with him for 25 years and he is the only doctor I trust with my kids. He always makes sure I understand everything he's saying, he even draws diagrams to help me understand certain things. He is the greatest. | Respond |

I have been taking my children to Dr. Maresky for the past 6 years and I have to say that I would not trust anyone else. In addition, he is the first physician that my kids actually enjoy going to, which is a huge plus. Dr. Maresky is extremely knowledgable, trustworthy and caring and if you are looking for a new physician, look no further. He makes us feel like we have his undivided attention. Doctor Maresky has been there for my family when we've needed him, always offering sound advice and care. He has a real knack for being able to take in a wide array of factors in making his diagnoses, which has helped us tremendously on various occasions. I have 3 children, and I am sad to say that one of them is growing too old for a pediatrician. After trying a couple other doctors, a friend recommended Dr. Maresky as being the best in the city. I have gone nowhere else since, and it has been almost 15 years!! Dr. Maresky is as knowledgeable and caring as they come, a combination all too rare in his profession. Last week when I went in, I was surprised to see that Dr. Maresky still works late into the evening. Just goes to show how much he cares for his lucky patients. After all this time, I do not have a single complaint to mention. Only praises and thanks!! ps. The accent never gets old!!! | Respond |

12/26/12 | 1 | 4 | 2 | 3 | I am a new mother and started going to Maresky after reading such great ratings about him. I am not sure how he was given such good ratings after my experience with him. If you want someone who is sympathetic and friendly, look elsewhere. My child had an ultrasound and the results showed that she had dislocated hips. Maresky called my cell and left a message with the results right before the office closed for the evening. He didn't leave a call back number for me to ask questions. The news was very disheartening and I had no choice but to wait until the next morning to get answers. Leaving a message with test results is very unprofessional especially if the parent is unable to get answers right away. He was not compassionate at all when I expressed my feelings towards him leaving me a message and all he said was "well it's not like i'm calling to tell you she has cancer". It seems like Maresky is in this mainly for the money and it is all about business to him. | See Responses |

11/15/10 | 5 | 3 | 1 | 1 | Our son was running a fever of 102-104 for several days. It was mis-diagnosed as a "virus" when in fact it was strep throat. The doctor used an "instant strep test" which was negative and indicated it was 99% accurate. After researching this, the instant tests are 50% accurate and a culture should have been taken for the lab. The misdiagnosis resulted in the strep infection turning into severe Pneumonia which is taking weeks to reocover from. Very disappointing. | See Responses |

Dr. Maresky always sees us promptly, provides sound advice, and is so gentle with the children. They truly adore him - despite the fact that he gives them needles! In sharp contrast to other physicians we have dealt with, he always finds the time to discuss parental concerns and patiently answer all questions. He takes every concern seriously and continues to look for solutions until all sides (the doctor, the parents AND the kids) are satissfied. Every pediatrician I called told me I had to wait anywhere from 2-4 weeks before I could get an appt. Lucly a relative mention Dr. Maresky and when I called I got an appt. for 2:30 that day. For a first-time mother that was such a relief. He never makes you wait more that 15 mins and thats very rare. You are in and out in know time and he gives you all the answers you need. There is never a "dumb" question. My cousins all went to him and they couldn't be happier, I couldn't ask for a better doctor for my son.
