The staff is completely rude, and good lucking calling in to get an appointment. Office could be a lot cleaner, and everything is so rushed. No bedside manner to talk to you and find out what's going on. Went in with a lot of pain in the elbow and Dr. Holden twisted and turned my elbow that was on the mend from a previous dr, and set me back 3 weeks of recovery. When told that over the counter pain medication wasn't working he rudely exclaimed "i don't prescribe narcotics!" What professional yells like that at work. I didn't ask for oxycontin, just maybe some NSAIDS. However he ended the conversation. I understand the issue with prescription pain killers, but as a dr you can't use a blanket statement for everyone especially if you didn't take the time with them. Never went back and will never recommend him.

Dr. Holden and PA Fountain provided my reverse shoulder replacement on Dec 21, 2016. They carefully assessed my situation concerning the advanced deterioration to my shoulder. In 2010 I was told that I only needed a traditional replacement. By the time I made the decision to have surgery, there was concern that they might not be able to perform a total reverse. I had waited too long. I was assured that they would do everything they could to complete the reverse procedure. When I awoke in recovery, the nurse immediately told me the good news about a successful total reverse. I am thrilled and feeling better than I have in years. I will always be grateful to Dr. Holden, PA Fountain and the entire staff at McBride Orthopedic Hospital! Just knowing that these two are the best at what they do, will make it much easier to go for my other shoulder replacement!

Dr. Holden did both of my knee preplacements 3 months apart! He and his PA Gene Fountain were both so helpful & upfront with me in what to expect and follow-up was oustanding. Highly Recommend!

I waited 6 months to see specialist in Alberta, Canada. Then I was told by the specialist that my case is too complicated and because of my young age the doctor will not take the risk to remove the plates and screws I have on my femur and tibial bones and will never do a knee replacement which is also difficult due to deformity on my knee. After I sent my X-rays to Dr Holden and his assistant Christi I got to know that still I have solutions and it is not difficult as they told me in Canada. The problem is that Dr. Holden is always busy and you can't speak to him in phone. That's why I came one day before the surgery to see him. He saw me between surgeries at McBride Hospital and after I spoke to him I was too happy to know he is expert and knows what he is doing. Next day, he was in the operation room and he did the surgery very well. I recommend Dr Holden for the patients with complex cases and which requires experts. My advice to write down your questions in a paper, because Dr. Holden is too busy and if you don't ask questions, it will be difficult to get answers from him by phone. You need to see him to get the answer directly from him. I have to come again to Oklahoma to have the knee replacement by Dr. Holden. I was depressed in Canada with the low quality of specialists after struggling two years between specialists and family doctor. I was too lucky to know Dr. David Holden.
