21/11/11 5 4 5 5 Dr. Peter Henley has been my awesome Physician and even if he is running late he still remains chipper. The honest provisional uses the hands on approach, checking my blood pressure almost every time and in the last 2 years he has given me the finger twice now (prostate check) because he said it is importantant. So folks put in extra coins in the parking meters because it’s not always his fault if he his running late :-)  Respond

19/11/11 4 4 5 5 He's been my doctor for over two years, he is friendly, knowledgable and thorough. I notice some praise him for taking time with them while others criticise him for being late. Which way do they want it? You can't suck and blow at the same time!  Respond

03/09/11 4 1 1 1 I think we can all agree that Dr. Henley is a very nice man. However I also agree with the previous post. Dr. Henley believes in vaccines for children regardless of all the latest research and horrific results. I question his knowledge.  Respond

25/08/11 3 3 2 1 He has a great bedside manner a real nice guy but I shake my head at his knowledge, his main concern seems to be getting patients in for regular visits so he can get paid. Not at all impressed!  Respond

23/11/10 5 3 5 5 I too am new to Vernon as some of the others who have rated Dr. Henley. Having moved in from out of province I can only say, it has been a very longtime since I have received such good, knowledgable service from a family physician. Although he is not always on time, which is understandable, he gives of his time and applaud him for this. he is a very good doctor and has no problem refering you to a specialist if required. people, you must take control of your own health as well. Don't blame everything on Doctors, remember they are only human just like you and I. I have no problem what so ever with this Doctor or his staff. They treat me each and everytime with respect and dignity. GOOD JOB, you are tops in my books.  See Responses

14/09/10 4 4 5 5 I've read some of the other reviews of this doctor, , and his wife Dr Jeanette. Anyone who trashes either of these doctors is obviously bitter about medical persons in general who don't tell the patient what they want to hear, which is all too common in the medical field. As a new doctor to town, Peter is going to have a different bedside manner, a different approach and different solutions than what you are accustomed to - but just because he doesn't do things exactly the way that your previous doctor did doesn't give you the right to be a curmudgeon and trash his reputation online. There is a reason why his practice is already maximized, and it's because the positive reviews of this doctor are accurate. If you are dissatisfied with his service then remove yourself from his patient list and allow others to benefit from his knowledge and friendly bedside manner. But don't hide in the anonymity of the Web to trash someone you don't agree with.  Respond

16/08/10 3 2 1 1 I do not understand how this man can call himself a Dr. Having a heart condition and in 4 visits he never once checked my blood pressure and on a recent visit for a check up he said oh don't feel like doing a prostate check. Is this not part of a physical. Does not give results on blood works the list of things goes on and on.  See Responses

16/08/10 5 4 1 1 Dr. Henley has a very friendly personality and a great bedside manner; however, that is where it stops. Every time my hubby goes in to see him we are left with more questions then answers. He refuses to investigate the health issues he presents him with and is quite famous for telling him if he looses weight he will be "cured." My hubby has gone back a few times for a skin condition. He just writes him a prescription and off we go. Finally we were so fed up with going to see him with no help that we went to see our favourite doc at the walk-in. She took one look at his skin condition and creams he was prescribed and point blankly said "That is not going to work!" She has given him a different prescription and his condition now almost fully healed where as before it was only getting worse! NOTE: Not all exceptional doctors have good bedside manners. Bad ones can be very friendly and bedside manners can be perfect. Just because someone is nice doesn't mean they know what they are doing.  Respond

20/05/10 2 1 1 1 This is the worst doctor I have ever seen. As a registered social worker who has extensive knowledge concerning people with disabilities I found this man arrogant, lazy, rude and very disrespectful. I was working with one of his patients to try and assist her to get medical care and then he totally disregarded her by refusing to see her. This patient who speaks French the doctor Henley decided that she would be better off with another doctor who speaks French. He did not bother to check to see and provide her with a referral as there are no doctors presently taking patients. This woman who has diabetes and is in much need of health care was then not only left without a family doctor but then ended up severely emotional crying in my office. Health in obvious decline, she then ended up with a heart condition requiring nitroglycerin drops and the nitroglycerin patch. Her specialist thought that it would be in her best interest to see both doctors for complete follow up. I agree.

20/05/10 3 2 1 2 staff had ok service but when it was time for my appointment it was 32 min late and was not told anything. the doctor could not find any meds for my pain, all I am getting is the boot from one doctor to the next. When I told him that the pain is reaching my neck he told me that I should find a new family doctor. When I was taking the pain killers it made me loose all strength in my entire body and get light headed, the doc said "take it befor bed"  See Responses

23/02/10 5 5 5 5 This was my first visit. Although staff did not inform him I was a new patient, he still took time to listen to me. I didn't feel rushed. He was 10 minutes late past my app't time (which I don't really consider late for a doc app't) and he APOLOGIZED for being late!! First time I have ever had a doc say sorry for not being on time!! Very good manners, easy to talk to. Thanks for a good visit! :)  Respond

29/10/09 5 4 5 5 Having recently moved here from Grand Forks, Dr. Henley is my new family doctor. I was impressed by his willingness to listen intently and take the time necessary. Also he's very young which I think is an asset in that he'd be on the leading edge of new technology.  Respond
